A great man. RIP Les.Les Twentyman
who replaced Denis Pagan as coach of Yarraville '81
I think Collingwood's oldest living player is now one of the 93 year olds: Dave Morgan, Ron McKenzie or Arthur Gooch, none of who we seem to have ever researched here.I heard yesterday that Harry had died on the 9th of April, but haven't seen that anywhere official yet.

We looked at Ivan Clues last monthI think Collingwood's oldest living player is now one of the 93 year olds: Dave Morgan, Ron McKenzie or Arthur Gooch, none of who we seem to have ever researched here.
There are no known DODs for the almost sesquicentenarians George Lockwood and Tom Lee. Frank Corby is almost 100, but has been discussed many times here.
Ivan Clues is next, but also an unknown.
List from WikiData.

I've just checked, and the club folks do believe that Ron McKenzie and Arthur Gooch are still around, though not so sure regarding Dave Morgan (they were going to look into that one further). It has to be unlikely that Ivan Clues is still going, but I'm interested to see if GreyCrow hears anything useful from the person on Ancestry!I think Collingwood's oldest living player is now one of the 93 year olds: Dave Morgan, Ron McKenzie or Arthur Gooch, none of who we seem to have ever researched here.

Just saw on the Claremont facebook page that ex West Coast & Brisbane player Peter Davidson has passed away. Peter played in the Eagles 1st ever team.
Had a long illness. Very sadGeez, he’s only 60.
I'm rather sure that name hasn't come up on here as a recent death. The link (to the funeral service) you provided is for someone who died in 2013, and it's not the ex-Melbourne player:I might have missed it on here somewhere, but Robert McKenzie of Melbourne died in late 2022. I don't have an exact date, but it's reported in the December 2022 edition of the MFC Past Players Newsletter so it happened around then. Possibly related to this.
No current season stats available
Thanks for that, I will do some more digging.I'm rather sure that name hasn't come up on here as a recent death. The link (to the funeral service) you provided is for someone who died in 2013, and it's not the ex-Melbourne player:

If his Wiki page is correct, the Melbourne player was Robert Davis McKenzie. His father was Robert Davis McKenzie III. I can't see any sign of him on Ancestry, or anything that says he has died. Bit of a strange one, really!

Ian Hayden - RFC 1962-64, passed away today May 2.
Death notice should be in the paper over the next day or so
It seems likely the AFL aren't aware of that family connection, as it's not mentioned in the Season Guide (family links section):Maternal grandfather of Dante and Vigo Visentini.
