Campagner never showed last night while i was ready for him.
Many, many moons ago, as a nipper, lived in Gippsland, i used to go spotlighting with my old man and his mates, one of them had a home made whistle type thing that when used mimicked a wounded rabbit, it was like kryptonite to any foxes within earshot, and we used to get a bounty of some description for every tail recovered which was divvied up as pocket money.

They work well
I’ve whistled a fox in from just under a kilometre away
Was watching him through the thermal scope & every time I whistled he stopped & looked then kept on trotting towards me
In the last place I lived, about five km down the road from where I am now, the foxes were an ever present risk to the chickens.
I’m not a gun owner but I’d be curious to give one of those a try.

Thats way to dear a scope for me . And i reluctantly tolerate $17 pints when i go to melb.
Yeah they aren’t cheap & you really need a monocular as well as it is too hard holding the rifle up looking around

I’ve done a lot of shooting over the years & these make night shooting a lot easier
