Just reading the Port board because this year has made me a melt junkie and I need a good fix now we're out. I know they're sensitive right now, but christ, I hate the man-Karen energy of everyone who insists they won't renew their membership until the coach is sacked. "Why didn't we win the flag? I demand to speak to the manager!"
Harden up, campaigners. I've got more respect for fans who turn up every year to support the Saints, regular Melbourne, and hell, even the Dockers, and love their trash team no matter what.

I’m pretty sure we have a third rounder that was tied to Sydney and a second rounder tied to port this year. I could be wrong though and it’s the other way around. Either way one of them just got a spot better.

Correct, second rounder tied to Port (now 35?) and third rounder tied to Sydney (49?).
Shame we couldn’t death ride both of those teams to lower finishes though. Sydney trade in particular looking poor given how well Hickey went for them this year.

Yeah but they are completely unlikeable.
I feel like travel is probably largely mental anyway and the last two years have taken a lot of that out of the equation due to every team being affected by covid/quaro at one point

I have a mate who is a die hard dogs fan . I would be happy to see them win . Melbourne can tank for all I care .
Made all the more sweeter now for us Docker Knockers, with Cerra packing his bags to head home, when Fremantle choose to ignore the local KPP who would have been a lifer, had they taken Naughton at pick # 5, instead of Cerra .
Let’s also not forget the draft pick for Ben king they gave up for hogan.
Ben king, naughton. Imagine that forward line for 15 years. Have to laugh. Their dream isn’t to win a premiership, it’s simply to finish above west coast.

We should have beaten the dogs in round 2. Lost that game off our own boot (as much as the narrative was Bont kicking the winner).
Our issue was more the inconsistency than the lack of ability.
Fwiw I'm on the Melbourne train. Breaking the drought and all is great, but they also play an attractive style of football (tbf both teams do, but Melbourne have more handballs, less throws and less libba's).

Naughton, Ugle Hagan and Darcy’s kid coming. The one thing the Dogs aren’t short on moving forward is young, gun, key forwards. No interest at all in someone like Brander

Brander isn’t a key forward though. He’s clearly a key defender, defensive wingman, third tall, run with, support ruckman, utility, bench rotation, half back flanker.
All of these things yet none of these things…
It appears as though there is a realisation that they have pissed away their two chances at the flag.

I usually hate one sided contests (unless we're the ones delivering them), but I'm actually glad both Prelims were one sided. Should mean a cracking Grand Final as both were able to cruise through playing bruise-free footy. I usually hate byes too but I think both teams need them. May and Bont off the top of my head will be relieved. Free Weightman and his concussion too. Two healthy teams in top form
