I'd hate to be a Port fan. They promise so much during the season and deliver nothing in the finals.

The really bizarre part is how they've done it across multiple lists and coaches. Apart from 2004, their AFL history is defined by playing well H&A and then flopping in finals.

What's the Port equivalent of Collywobbles? Power outages?

Could replace port with geelong.

Could say the same about Brisbane too. Which is why we should be rightly pissed that we continue to f*ck it up in the regular season. This year not so much, but the last 2 for sure. These teams arent that formidable. We’ve been inconsistent too but it only takes a top 4 finish to get you in a decent spot and turning up for finals against equally shaky opposition. Wouldn’t have necessarily won another flag but we should have made another prelim or two for sure.

Underdogs? Undermanned? F*ck off Hamish, these blokes were top 2 all year. Slight underdogs due to home ground advantage but you would have thought they had no chance the way Hamish described it at the final siren.

TBF, they played the extra game and had a shitload of travel.

Its the deserving grand final. The two best teams all season playing off. Still shocked how you can lose a home ground PF by 70 points.
