Yes that was quite the whole What The when watching that and the news story 🤦‍♂️
He claims he will be “backing the blue and gold” in the next derby. Mmm hmm yes sure 🙄 I’m not sure how kindly his new fellow supporters will be to his background, but hey, maybe bandwagoners are welcome.

This bloke is an embarrassment to our supporter base. Firstly, you're a knob if you wear a neutral guernsey to a football game. Doubly so if you cheer for your biggest rivals while wearing it.

Lol - what a dork. There's no issues with going to a neutral game or even having a second team, but you don't go wearing your team's jumper to a neutral game and then trade it in for one of their rival's.

He should have told Freo to shove it when they turned up. Poor bloke doesn't realise that he's now a Dockers supporter. He's going to be given heaps if he turns up to the next west coast home game.

Last week Melbourne were about $35 to go undefeated through the Season.

Worth a cheap fitty?
Better off betting on them each week and putting the winnings on them the next week. Would work out to much more than $35

It’s pretty common to go to neutral games wearing your team’s scarf or hat or something in Melbourne. Probably not so much wearing a full guernsey.

Yeah, people who enjoy football as just a fun hobby and not in an all consuming way that negatively affects their relationships and social life, and waste 15 years posting about it on this hellsite absolutely disgust me.

Edit: 13.5 years

Sure, I've seen it plenty of times when over there but I think it's a bit silly. You're right, it's not that big a deal, but going to your rival's game and then jumping and cheering is a strange look.

fu**in pea-hearted powerade sippers
"Oh I didnt see the game this week, I was getting married/my wife had my first kid/my mother died"

Weak as ****ing piss. And these people call themselves fans.

Could tell them that the 'season is on the line this week' and they'd give you a genuine response. Embarrasing.

Concerning when a team that made you look like witches hats are then made to look like witches hats a week later by a borderline finals team.

The pleasing thing with the Hawks resurgence is it shows how a team that is "past it" can get their act together after two bottom 4 finishes. Hawthorn and Sydney have both managed this. Eagles might be back in the mix by 2024.

It's been a bit of a theme of the round. So far we've had:
8.12 (40%)
10.17 (37%)
9.8 (52%)
8.15 (35%)
18.9 (67%)
4.9 (30%)
14.13 (52%)
9.8 (52%)
9.7 (56%)
17.19 (45%)
21.6 (78%)
11.14 (44%)

Brisbane and Port the two most accurate by far (Brisbane freakishly so). A few that were basically 50/50, not crediting Geelong because 19 misses is awful even if you kicked truly 17 times.

From last night
8.6 (57%)
9.22 (29%)

I think we're so bareboned with quality youth that it'll take us three or four years to get back to contending for finals.

The Hawks form certainly isn’t helping with the Sam Mitchell stuff. They don’t seem to have a very good list (at least in comparison to Eagles 2019-2021 on paper) but are competitive in most of their games. Meanwhile our midfield looked the best it ever did while he was coaching it and hasn’t fired a shot since

It probably helped having them all fit and at the peak of their powers too.

They were all fit from 2015-2017 too (bar Nic which was a huge loss obviously).

Hard to say Mitchell was the be all and end all for 2018 but he certainly helped our weakest area on the ground get their heads in the game. Since then our footy department has been decimated due to the soft cap. There’s no way we’re ever going to be able to lure the top coaching/fitness/ medical talent over to Perth without overpaying and spending our cash, which we can’t do under these bullshit rules
