I said this a few weeks back. They just have some weird X factorness about them which could be enough in this weird season. It would take an almighty fu** up from Melbourne not to win it though
Yeah they are a bit unpredictable. Plus they have already knocked off a few top 8 teams.

Are the Saints a young group as Roo keeps suggesting?

Young compared to Geelong maybe

This was their side last week, it was on average older than the Demons

They then got rid of Butler and Wanganeen-Milera for Billings and Sharman who are both older respectively.

Apart from King and the sub Windhager no one else in the 18-22 bracket today, rest of the side is well seasoned

Few random suggestions being thrown around regarding priority picks.

North would get one at the END of the first round i thought. So if they finish last they'll have 2 picks before our 2nd pick (19, 20)

As far as us being shit again next year and potentially asking for a priority pick ourselves if we finish bottom 4 again goes.. not sure we'd qualify, given Norf is only borderline getting one now, and have finished 17th in 2020, 18th in 2021 and now currently sit 17th again in 2022.

Being the richest/w***er/successful club in the land means i doubt 2 poor seasons would mean we qualify.

Geelong is close to not be playing finals this year.

Port look like taking there place in the eight.
Next weeks game is Geelong vs Port.
The winner will likely play finals.
The loser most likely won't.

Kind of strange saying two of Geelong Port Bulldogs won't be playing finals this year.

Bulldogs have a pretty hard fixture so can rule them out for finals.

Even if port lose they're 4-6 a manageable possie to recover from.

Cats should make it

i reckon (in no order)

Melb
Bris
Bull
Geel
Syd
Port
Rich

then one of:

Stk
carl
freo

maybe freo

On SM-G925I using BigFooty.com mobile app
If Freo win today, they will be 4 game in front of the WB.
They're a lock.
Probably top 4.

Carlton look vulnerable to me.
Saints are a lock.

I can't see both WB and Port getting in.

I reckon the 8 is set.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Bulldogs have been flaky front runners for all of Bevo's career. Missed finals for two seasons after their flag, just scraped into the 8 for two seasons after and have never finished top 4.

Only Port fans thought they were actually good in 2020 and 2021. Also a flaky team that was due for a fall.

Geelong are super old with a shit coach. Everyone has been waiting for them to fall off, maybe this is the year. Our list's age profile is nothing compared to how stuffed theirs is.

Freo and Carlton have super easy draws. Lock Freo for top 4 (straight sets exit) and Carlton for top 8. Saints should make it too.

How the f*ck are we in the third quarter and Freo have only kicked 2 goals on GC? Just turned it on, so whats going on? Is this game being played in an aquarium?
