Be interesting to see how Carlton go without McKay.
Last night they were talking about how Carlton were flying.

Their last four games: beat Ade, North, Freo beat them and they beat Port by a kick when they hadn't won a game.

I get the media narrative about the "Blues being back", but reckon they're a fair bit off it at the moment.

Curnow has been playing alright. They have a lot of the components but are still flaky at heart

Silvagni is an under-rated element for them as well at the moment as a jack of all trades player. Pinch hitter in the ruck but also going at ~1.5 goals a game.

As a league wide thing it is fascinating how different clubs handle the 2nd ruck role. Not every team can have Gawn and Jackson, so it is interesting to see teams use genuine 2nd rucks, genuine FFs in the ruck (think Daniher and Dixon previous years) and then the inbetweens.

-------------

Unrelated to Carlton, but I am shocked to see 2 meter Peter going out of that category to "genuine FF" the last two years. Good player, glad he made the leap.

Darcy Moore looks like the type of guy that would accidentally injure a team mate and after the game rather than say "shit, sorry mate" would say "you shouldn't got in my way".

Have the Bullies as a 5-8 side again.

... And they are literally light years ahead of us in almost every facet of how you play football.

I can't see us troubling sides at their level for multiple seasons let alone the top 4.
The dogs have shown in two seasons now that they can at least make the grand final from outside the top 4. Teams vying for the flag would be hoping Richmond or Port make it instead of them.

Saw Moore cannon into Naughtons back a couple of times, dirty bugger.

Noticed DeGoeys disposal is a bit blase at times, just hoofs it forward into the general area of a team mate. saw him once with two open players, and a bulldog between them, and bascially put it on the bulldogs head, your Martins will use the ball so much better.

I must say that for a "supposedly" neutral game, I find myself barracking big time for North Melbourne to beat Port Adelaide today.

That would be, for me , a win / win / win outcome.

I am I alone ???
Or just a depraved opportunistic mind ???

Some men just want to watch the world burn...

You're not alone. Post-season on the line game for West Coast this one. 😆
