I don't give a rat's arse who they obsess over.
Neither do I but it's pretty boring seeing the same sad plebs derail every thread on the main board about irrelevant crap, simply because their team's been rubbish for eternity and they have the mother of all chips on their shoulder.

Yeah Covid is the real elephant in the room for this season for everyone. Could you imagine finishing the year Top 2, getting 2 home finals and then having it sweep through your club? It could literally rob a side of a flag through no fault of their own.

If you are referring to it happening to a particular team… yes please make it so. Totally evil I know but oh well 😆

I made the mistake of looking at a couple of the WCE themed threads on there. My goodness. Their “concern” for our club is quite touching it really is. I just want to assure them that we will be just fine. Needless to say, I would have thought they would have better things to think of than worry about us but anyway 🤷‍♂️😂

I know Cripps has his critics, but he's an exception to the "You get what you pay for" rule of thumb:

St Kilda moved on Cripps and pick 46 and gained picks 41 and 44 in return.

An absolute bargain.
An absolute bargain and we got the best of him.

But the best is in the past. Like a few others on our list we have seen the peak, and it's now all downhill. The best we got as a pressure forward who would kick 30+ over a season and lay a few sticky tackles is in the rear view mirror.

Like a few, time to move on.

Getting a fair bit of Us 2007 vibes about Melbourne.

Obviously we had the Cousins saga to deal with and by the end of the season Judd's groin was done and Kerr missed the finals.

But whilst we were winning early on, they really weren't very fluent performances and it eventually started to come undone. Demons kicked 6 in a ten-minute period but aside from that it's been a pretty poor performance from them as well. If you'd not watched any football in 2021 you'd be wondering how this Demons team won a flag...

Port's performance tonight has been the worst I can recall in a long, long time and Melbourne from August or September last year would be up by 15+ goals at least.

They are still very much amongst the favourites (probably still the favourite) and If a flag fancy is going have an off night you want it to be early in the season. But I suspect the other top teams will looking at this performance with a little raised eyebrow.
Really starting to feel this way now.

Still flag favourites and they've not really got out of the third gear which is scary in itself.

The problem is there are plenty of teams (across all sports) who coast through the season and when they go to find something extra at the pointy end of the season it just isn't there.

They're still in a better position than we were in 2007- we had Cousins to deal with, Judd's injury and we only won our first 6 games where as they won their first 10.

But it feels like the competition race is wide open now.

A bit stiff for Frederick there. Unless he was completely plastered and making an ass of himself.

I don't mind it. They're on the up. Gotta set standards, make an example of him. He'll know it as much as anyone. They get to have a beer on 7 day breaks and the bye isn't far off.

When they've got ahead of themselves multiple times this year and the coach has basically said the players have been drinking their own bathwater, I don't mind the optics of taking a young talent down a peg after doing the wrong thing after tearing it up on field.
