Most even , open season in some time ...
Freo well placed for sure and for next few seasons .
Melbourne returned to default form .
We won 10 in a row in 2018 and then lost 3 in a row due to injury. Plenty of time for Melbourne to get things going again.

It’s only just over halfway through the season
A month ago some in the media were talking up an undefeated season for Melbourne. One player (May) goes missing and the wheels fall off.
Still a lot to play out yet
And there’s a sum total of 8 players on Freo’s list that have played finals so that lack of experience could be telling. Consider also that two of the players with finals experience, Hamling and Wilson, haven’t played a game this year
It’s an even year and it’ll be who hits September in good form with a healthy list not who won/lost a couple of games in June

Yeah, hard to imagine a team that has a 10+ win streak early in the season and follows it up immediately with 3 straight losses could end up winning the flag.

If he continues like this they'll get a single mid level first rounder next year. Or say if Adelaide and port have top 5-6 picks you would expect norths second rounder to be heading back.
