Well at least we know that next week's result is pretty much in the bag, you guys are gonna kill us.

There is only 1 benefit to finishing 9th instead of 8th imo.

It's if we think we are a genuine shot still next year. By finishing outside of finals you get 2 extra weeks of preseason over teams elminated in the elim finals, 3 over semi final losers, 4 over prelim final losers and 5 over grand finalists.

With an ageing list even if we manage to pull structural changes to be competitive next year having an extra 4-5 weeks of conditioning over your competitors can make a big difference. Particularly if you consider we are coming off of 2 even more than normal impacted seasons combined with shorter preseasons. When it comes to run in the legs if we are any shot next year we would need a near perfect injury season (particularly through our mids) and a great preseason.

Preeety sure we'll be taking that underdog status off you by the final siren tomorrow.

I'm not going to surprised by anything under a 15 goal hiding at this point. I reckon the Dees are going to try and bury us, along with their Optus demons of 2018.

If I'm reading the ladder correctly, we need two more wins to guarantee finals and if we get them, most likely finish 8th due to our shocking %.

Assuming the worst case that Tigers beat GWS next week and then win their last game. Bombers also win both their games. That means we will finish 9th on % if we only win one more game.

The Giants beating Tigers could save us but they'd then have to lose to the Blues in the final round if the Bombers win both games.

The funniest scenario is if Tigers and Bombers lose both and GWS lose against Blues, we could still make it with no more wins (due to Freo's even worse %). Maybe this is what we should hope for, as it would be hilarious.

We are too close to the end of the season and still a good chance of playing finals so no point "playing the kids"

Its an enditement not one young kid has developed adequately to place meaningful pressure on our senior players.
Edwards should be playing ahead of Hutchings. Absolute no brainer.

Our S&C team have lost the plot. Somewhere along the way they think their job is producing middle distance runners instead of AFL ready bodies.

None of our younger players can play anywhere near the ball until they are 24-25 years old.

It's madness.

But to be fair you're the board's 2021 version of ep2018.

Absolutely not convinced of that.

This is starting to look like a game both teams will want to forget. Even the winner will only get the 4 points because they were less shite than the other mob.

'We were less crapola than you' is hardly boasting territory.

heh you’ll smash us…we’re ****ed

heh you’ll smash us…we’re f’ed

It's a win/win for us as far as I'm concerned.

Win - explains itself.
Lose - we've out-shitted Freo, it's just another thing we're better at.

Bizarre. Cerra’s looked like a proper shank off the side of the boot but Schultz’s looked like he was trying to pass it into the pocket

It looks like Schultz got too close to the man on the mark and tried to kick around him and just went at a right angle - like me using a pitching wedge. His run up was really poor too.
