Yep stuff smug Chris Scott with his tiny nose slick hair and orange face........

Hate to say it but I'm on the Tigers !

Not sure if anyone has touched on this but will they even sell out the match now that Brisbane has been eliminated? Cant be too many Geelong and Richmond fans up there.

Seems to be a surprising number of vics who have gone to Darwin and quarantined and are already in qld on the likelihood of this happening... was sitting next to three last night.. It will sell out but at $165 for the cheapest seat and two teams I hate they wont be getting my cash.

Remember these Geelong losers only played Richmond a few weeks ago and cost us top 4 with their shitness.

Beat the Tigers and we had 4th, but noooooo. They were pathetic and it wasn't even a contest.
We cost ourselves top 4.

If the last two years aren’t burning a hole in the guts of our players right now then there’s no hope for us next year. Have to be better.

Why did they bring in Ellis-Yolmen for Coleman?

Coleman was brilliant in the QF in my opinion. Offered a lot of spark in the forwardline/flank. They’re getting absolutely nothing from CEY - just 3 touches

Fagan tried using Ellis-Yolmen as a defensive forward to nullify Stewart's intercept and rebound - it ended up being as effective as when we tried doing the same with Hutchings in the finals last year.

It was a massive mistake and it would seem that a lot of the Lions tactical approach was contingent upon the outcome of that match-up.

Agree upon Coleman - losing a player of his superior decision-making and execution became more telling the longer the match went on.

Fagan thoroughly outcoached tonight.

Hats off to Scott and the Cats. Knew that Brisbane relies on spread and fast transition and kept the midfield battle on and players back behind the ball. Brsbane genuinely need another 1-2 forward targets to straighten them up.

Agreed. Disappointed in Fagan last night.

Tried to play Geelong the same way he played Richmond, when they are radically different in their approaches.

The sweeping extra in defence which was effective in cutting off rapid counterattacks against Richmond, became a liability as Geelong were able to push their halfbacks high up the ground in offence and get their short possession game going against little pressure.

Conversely, the wings from the Cats were able to drift into defence as unmarked spares all match and provide support against any quick attacks from Brisbane in addition to becoming the fulcrum for their own transition.

Once that happened, Geelong were able to dominate both possession and territory, forcing the Lions into riskier disposal options to get it forward.

Brisbane ended up -16 for contested possessions and +15 for turnovers. Credit to the Cats, they completely took Brisbane's game away from them.

Last night I was thinking of not watching this granny but I think it’s going to be a cracker of match.

Need to put the salt tears away and get a few brews down. As someone mentioned last night we have two quality teams, probably the two best teams all year. Hoping for an arm wrestle of a match.

Be good for Gaz to grab another flag

Hope both these teams implode and neither wins ☹️ I think I’ll have better things to do
With my time next weekend.

Two experienced sides playing in the grand final is better than one experienced team playing an inexperienced club as witnessed by the blowouts in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

I hate both sides but I would prefer Geelong won only because Gary Ablett Junior is a champion of the game and it would be a deserving way for him to retire.
Not 2017 exactly
