Neale a very worthy winner.

The sort of player every team would want playing for them.
Plays it hard and fair.

Very humble and gracious winner, a far cry from last year.

Side Note and apologies it a grizzle:

Could have done without all the gambling ads that accompanied the coverage.

VaFL are out of kilter with the rest of society, gambling is a negative in our society and the VaFL by association with its sponsorship choices, is a blight on it's social responsibility and thats a poor example.

The very fact that so many Victorian Clubs are dependant on the spoils from gambling, just reinforces that those at VaFL house are morally bankrupt.
Gill and his band of merry men should be leading by example, by cutting their Sponsorship Deals with gambling agencies.

Kudos to North Melbourne who were the first and some years ago now, cut the purse strings that relied of gambling as part of their Income Stream.

I can't believe the constant whining on this board and excuses for our teams turd performances. Accept it we ain't as good as Richmond period. It's no fluke they are doing what they are. Yes they get a few leg ups being a Victorian team but guess what that ain't going to change. They are a hard ruthless side that play a brand of footy that is very hard to defeat unfortunately.

Our club found the answer in 2018 can they do it next year only they can answer that

It's hard to defeat because the rules of footy have been thrown out the window pursuing the theory of "no stoppages is exciting footy."

Throw, drop, throw your way to victory.

Shame on our mob for failing to get with the times but the footy is an abomination of what the game is supposed to be.

Unfortunately, the Brownlow is basically a Gambling event - the Betting agencies pump the AFL with money all year and one of the big ‘pay off’ events is the Brownlow, so they go all out and basically highjack the event as one massive advert for gambling. The league can’t/won’t turn down their money - especially when it’s lovely invisible gambling on phone apps - unlike those icky pokies machines with the depressing broke old person attached to it.

It’s not fantastic but it is not surprising.

Umps just give the votes to however gets the ball the most, even if they have no influence.

Thought we learnt that from Tom Mitchell/Priddis' Brownlows.

Usually yes but here's some really unusual ones in that lot

Barrass getting 3 BL votes against Essendon with 11 possessions and 6 marks but zero coaches votes

That's unusual yes. Which game did he get the 10 coaches votes in? I didn't watch the count so not sure if he polled int hat one.
