I don't know about you guys, but to me it almost feels like a regular Saturday night H&A fixture.
If this is supposed to 'settle the debate' about GF timing, as Gill reckons, I look forward to the continuation of the already-ideal afternoon slot.

Perhaps I'm just venting because I'll probably pass out before half-time. But this NEIPA is so good...

It is probably just us but there feels like there is absolutely no hype for this game. All the casual fans I know forgot that footy was on because it's October, not September.

30-40mm has fallen so far in Brissy. Ch7 did a live cross to BT during the gallops coverage and there are massive puddles on the GABBA surface. Going to be a horrendous “spectacle”...

It has come down very heavily - had over an inch fall in 20 minutes here.

It has actually been anomalously dry leading up to today so the clay that underlies much of SE Qld has gone like concrete and the rain that has fallen is pooling on the surface before sinking in.

Next rain line looks to be coming in about an hour and then it should clear up for some time after that.


Bigger concern will be the storms that are currently forming out west of Roma - if they continue to build and progress eastwards they will impact Brisbane tonight and bring the lightning protocol into play.
