Grimes is almost Richmonds most important player, certainly structurally anyway. He cuts across to support the other defenders so often and it’s been clear how much that has been missed, Richmond look nervous without him marshalling the backline. He’s a big out for the tigers tonight.

Prestia, Cotchin, Lambert is a fair midfield trio to be missing too. And now maybe Edwards. Ouch

I don’t know if the rules allow for the Tigers to continually drop the ball in perfect tackles, to be legal
I mean the overall directive from the league and suite of changes to keep the game flowing and minimise stoppages. I don’t blame the umps - I bet if they went and umpired at state level they’d be absolutely fine

I don't think Geelong are a legit contender though, as good as they've been tonight. There's no way those rickety old bastards are still going to have functioning hamstrings by September.
The "rickety old bastards" made a granny last year.
Add Higgins, Smith and Cameron and they're right in it I reckon.

Richmond not making the top for isn't as vital for them as interstate sides.

I know they won't get the double chance, but they will more than likely play finals at the Gee regardless.
Richmond getting 3 undeserved finals at the G and 3-peating.

Might just be enough to put me off footy. For good

Sydney, Brisbane, Port and us are in the 8 and likely to stay there. That means any Vic team not finishing top 2 has a good chance to be playing a final away from the MCG.
