I remember some years ago a club recruiter (cant remember which club) was interviewed whilst at the draft camp and was asked what do they look for in a potential Player for their club.

He basically said that they looked for athletes first and 'footballers' second.

And at the end he added that they could teach him the basic skills (i.e. kicking) as part of the players development.
