It’s not whinging, it’s perfectly understandable to expect to play at a proper stadium in a professional national sporting league and not at a suburban dung heap that’s not only not even the correct shape but it’s genuinely unsafe for visiting supporters.

Would be quicker to fly from f*cking Avalon to Tullamarine and then take a shuttle bus from the airport.

Drive to Werribee or any of the stations on the Werribee line, it's only 30 or so minutes from Geelong

Park at any of the said stations.

Catch a suburban train which will take you to Flinders Street station, where it's a nice liesurely stroll to the G, about a 40 min trip.

Or

The Werribee arrival train forms a Frankston line train immediately and it's next stop is Richmond if you don't want to walk that far.

Or catch a tram.

So, realistically, it's no different for people travelling from the outer suburbs.

It's a pity that I have to explain this, but I've had plenty of practice in educating my children in the ways of getting around
