Probably midfield as our forwards seem to spend more time there or in defence than where they should be

I thought so, 1 goal yet best on ground suggests that, makes you wonder why most on here think that hes only a key forward and if hes not as good as Hall yet in this possie, he shouldnt play, I think hed slot into the forward pocket nicely, just to begin with, also Id like to add, hes not exactley a light weight anyway, and Im pretty sure Hall would look after him down there!

I made a statement about a month or so ago on the Canberra BF Thread that the Swans Ressies wouldn't make the Canberra Finals this season.

Brave call considering their last 4 Premierships in a row (last season being an amazing win against all odds).

Reason for this is I believed that the Seniors are going through a transitional period and Ressies may suffer because of it if injuries occur. I also thought that Roos had squeezed as much out of his list as possible and perhaps the club was on the downward slide.....Then tonights result against the Hawks (Well done!!).

I still stand by my prediction but have been proven wrong by the Swans 2nds a couple of times in their Canberra history....Just wondering what some of the faithful two's followers think about the sides capabilities??

What's the finals system given there's only 6 teams now?

Great win by Eastlake today they absolutely pulverized the Swannies. Bruce Clarke Gibson all very good but I was most impressed by 20 playing in defence on Lewis Johnston. Any idea on who he is

Top 4 does improve the Swans chances. Looking at the first 2 rounds results it seems that it is a very even competition. I think if the injury run in both the Seniors and Reserves stocks continues like it did today the Swans will struggle. They lack some grunt in the middle that was so prevalent in previous years esp 2005-06.

We got totally smashed.

Wasn't convinced with Pyke. He seemed like a bit of barney, but he's built like a brick wall.

Johnston can kick! He kicked an awesome goal and presented well throughout.

We were just totally dominated by Eastlakes though. Nice too see Aaron again too :)

What happened today? Apparently we got smashed, right? Any standouts? How Pyke go? Johnston?
We lost 75-175
Yes
Hannebery was good, especially in the 2nd half.
Pyke was 2nd best I thought to the Demons ruckman Gibson. He looks very awkward out there, hesistant and a lot of his disposals, mostly handballs, put his teammates under extreme pressure.
Well beaten for most of teh game by the aforementioned number 20, but kicked a nice big long goal.

Yeah we got thumped

Aaron was amazing...once again such a shame we lost him because the kid has great skills

Johnston had a few ups and down but the kid is great kicked a good goal

Pyke i dont know im a little unsure of him...seriously he tried 2 mark with his arms wide open...and doesnt really know how 2 mark...i guess its all part of learning...but once again hes not debuting anytime soon but ill give him credit for trying hard he will get better in time...but Jake is a better ruckman atm

Jake had a good game good hit outs and is marking well...kicked a great goal after taking the mark on the lead i wish he would bulk up already so he could hopefully get a seniors game

Dan Hanners was great good little kid a hard nut really puts himself in and under the ball!

Cricket (Gilchrist) He springs high...good game

Braba looked good

Currie and Kristen improving...very tired though...worried about cuz but hes just unfit (Loves my jumper BTW)

Ummm all the little boys had it though but did well

we are just a very young team atm and its hard but eastlakes whooped us when they arnt the strongest team out there...upset with the ressies...we didnt play well 2day

OH HAPPY HAPPY NOTE...AARON WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE ME AND NAT MASSIVE SMILE "HEY GIRLS" AND A HIGH FIVE...im on a misson 2 get the boy back

Top 4 mate.

1 v 2 (Winner to GF, Loser to meet winner of 3 v 4)
3 v 4 (Winner to meet Loser of 1 v 2, Loser out)

#20 not sure who he is, must be a NKOB.

Didn't know the Eastlake result when I posted, does assist my statement however:thumbsu:
Just looked up #20 on the Demons website, it's Leigh McMahon who made the Canberra team of the year in 2008. Good game.

Got to take some photos. Light was shit so quality ain't that great...you can check the whole set here http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffers1984/sets/72157616365026792/

Your right grimlock, I got confused by your previous post. Read it incorrectly and thought # 20 was Lewis Johnston and I didn't have a clue who that was.

McMahon is a tall running player who can play across half forward/back and across the middle. Very clean skills and has a good engine. Takes a good grab also.

Pretty sure he is ours, draftee from SA at pick 11.

My mail is our best last night were Barlow - only played first half as he was emerg for seniors.

Dan Hannebry who came up for the game unless were cocerned by our injury list were going to fly him in every week and Taylor Gilchrist. Currie still needs fitness but was contesting up forward and Jake + Pyke need the work still. Thornton and MOD good in patches. Johnno got a lesson for him to learn by an opponent more physical.

Buchanan got a leg injury and did not return and DOK struggled again.

Nice photos Jeffers, I love the goldfish expression in 3 of the photos there

Thanks grim. I'll probably get some better shots next game as it is a day game and hopefully better weather too!

Soph i forgot to mention, when i was going through my photos i was zooming in to get the best crops etc. however i saw a little blonde figure in the stands on the other side. I zoomed in a bit more and guess who i find, yourself, Nat, Kritika, Margaret and Hooley (with your boyfriend next to you, or was that Malfan?) ;) :D

Ryan Brabazon named on Sporting Pulse as BOG for Sydney. Apart from Soph, not much said about him in this thread. If Crouch is injured, maybe a spot for him this week?

Currie, did he play much in the ruck? How was his tapwork? I notice he kicked 2 goals. Someone said Dan O'Keefe struggled but the Swans have him in the best?

Bruce, Clarify as it was me who said so. That was my source and has been backed up by a second one since Saturday. I also notice over on the other forum of which I read but do not contribute their is consensus to this theory.

However if someone disagrees this is good.
