This draft is odd, a few teams are flying and a few can't get their feet off the ground

Pies, Suns, Crows, Dockers, Demons and Bulldogs are some who all have had multiple successes so far (based off my ratings), and some sides like Essendon, West Coast, Port Adelaide and Blues have very little to show for.

To be fair on us we lost 1 player to glandular fever (2 years on and is still hasn't recovered). 1 had to retire in his second season.

Duggan finally showing a lot at half back and Nelson is showing a bit as well. Only dud is lamb.

West Coast have Duggan and Nelson who are regulars in their team
Port traded their first two picks for Ryder so they can be excused
Essendon only drafted two players
Carlton screwed up badly

A month ago there was a Pies fan on here labelling the De Goey selection a disgrace and horrible error because they should have taken the key forward Wright.
De Goey must've had a really good month then.

Closest thing to Fyfe/Martin/Dangerfield in terms of play style, in the sense that they're all genuine midfielders with significant scoring impact.

Relax.

Petracca averages more goals and disposals per game than De Goey yet you don't mention him in the same bracket as a mid/fwd?

Seems legit.

Yeah I gotta go through every player in the league every time i give an opinion...

Regardless, as I've stated multiple times before, it's about their playstyles. Petracca is a forward who can occasionally go mid, the players I have mentioned are predominantly midfielders who go forward. Thus, what petracca averages is irrelevant.

Not this year he doesn't, although its neck and neck in both categories really.

My point isn't that De Goey isn't going to be a gun mid/fwd, it's that old mate excluded Petracca and put JDG there instead. I think a lot of Collingwood players are heavily overrated but JDG isn't one of them.
If he feels that Petracca is a different type of player that's his right.

Another exceptional game by De Goey. None of that "De Goey's only had like 1 good game all year bs" thanks

And yet some would've had you believe the ducking rule was to be the end of McLean..

Agreed. I never believed that but thought he'd take time to adjust. Pleasantly surprised how good he's been.

Gee he was good against us.

He's had a very good season. One of a handful of Dogs who can genuinely say they've improved on 2016. I've got him top three in our best and fairest

He's played like that in 5/6 games since coming back, only downer was last week.

Has become a gun since going in the middle. Plays like Gray.

Him and Caleb to tear up West coast for the next decade. Good players but I hate them when they play us cause we let the short people destroy us.

Tad harsh on McLean. 180cms is reasonably tall. He's got 12-13cm on Caleb

Jack Steele with a monster game today with the job on Shuey. Apparently had 26 disposals (at 77%, 20 contested), 10 clearances, 2 goals, 6 score involvements, 12 tackles, 28 pressure acts. Missed most of the preseason with a broken foot, too.

Jack Sinclair instrumental in many of our goals with 3 goal assists, to go with his 20 disposals and a goal.
