Love the Femmes! Had a mate try and tell me they were a chicks group once. I told him to listen to the lyrics. One of the most chauvinistic, raw and edgy groups goin' round. They have a sound that stands the test of time too.

Oh man, I love The Blues Brothers! One of my favourite movies growing up! "We're on a mission from God."

New Eminem song. Has more of a rock vibe (if you go to the page for the YouTube video he's doing the devil horns gesture too).

Not bad, but his delivery is so crappy now compared to his old stuff. His voice sounds really whiny compared to his aggressive, raw delivery of 1999-2002. I guess it's an improvement over some of his newer stuff though.

New album is going to be called The Marshall Mathers LP 2, so hopefully judging by that, it will go back to his original Marshall Mathers LP sound. Big shoes to fill, because that album is a stone cold classic. It comes out in November. The singles are usually the lamest songs on the album anyway, so it's a good sign that the single isn't that bad.

Just found another song coming from the new album too:

Yes! Much, much better! I like this one more than the other one - his delivery isn't whiny and it has more of that classic sound! Hells yeah!

Cub Scouts is another new Aussie band they haven't got an album yet just a couple of EP's but their song Paridise I reckon you'll love.

Oops, I misread your post a little bit. I thought you meant that Snakadaktal had two songs called 'Cub Scouts' and 'Paradise' that I should listen to. I'll have to check out Cub Scouts then too.

It's funny, because only 4 or 5 years ago I would have dismissed the Melbourne music scene, but there's a current crop of great musicians and bands coming through. I still like the Perth music scene more though!

Holy f*ck, this is awesome! They're called Flyying Colours and they're a psychedelic shoegaze band from Melbourne. This is their debut single:

Can't.Stop.Listening! An EP is forthcoming apparently. Can't wait to see what other great tunes this band can serve up!

I actually saw an interview with them in one of those free music magazines that you find in places like JB Hi-Fi. The interviewer said that they sounded a bit like My Bloody Valentine and were a shoegaze band from Melbourne, and then I just had to look them up. Then I look them up and have my mind blown!

Still waiting on an EP release, but that track is a cracker!
