I’ve got a feeling that the polls are wrong and Harris gets up pretty comfortably

Trump has pissed off the women, the Puerto Ricans, and the moderate Republicans, the military, and people who don’t like insurrections

Having said that I’ve been wrong before

And there are probably a lot of Americans who won’t vote for a woman of colour (whether they say so when they’re polled or not)

It won’t be a comfortable win if she gets up it’s only going to be a few electoral votes in it.

Can’t trust the polls one iota. We will know how it’s going on the night once the Pennsylvania votes are in.

Trump is going to lose in a landslide, it will be over early, but he will declare he won before the polls even close
Kamala's win could be bigger than Obama's win in 2008
Trump hasn't grown his base outside of a few incels who live in their parents' basement, he's pushed all the independents and women away from him

The only risk is gerrymandering resulting in not retaining the House and having Johnson refusing to certify the election

What your insults champ. Typical flog trump supporter in denial full of entitlement.

This is the issue.

Someone votes Trump and they are a yada yada flog yada yada racist yada yada yada.....

Meanwhile, the Democrats have supported more death, wars & incited more global unrest than anything he ever said or did. The defunding the police movement & decisions around crime etc have turned once great cities like San Fran, Seattle, Portland in to utter shitholes. I was over in the states for a month a few months back & the cost of living issue over there completely dwarfs ours except for the housing situation. San Fran was a complete utter shithole these days, with Fisherman's Wharf completely boarded up. Homeless everywhere. Junkies shooting up in public, while literal naked gay men walk around the streets in the middle of the day with their Nahas out. No joke, i saw 6-7 guys in their 50s-60's walking around completely naked in the middle of the city &, apparently, that is normal now. Waymo self driving cars are more expensive and more popular than human uber drivers, as the elite flogs would rather pay more for a robot to drive them than have to deal with a "normie" who has been pushed out of the city and now has to live in Oakland - a city that doesn't even have a Baseball team now as their is no money in it.

Of all the cities i went to, San Fran was without doubt the worst. Never, have i seen a city have so much tech-money filter through it, & none of it go back into the city and down to the common man. it was the most elite fart-sniffing cestpool i have ever seen. A decade ago i went there and loved the city - this time i couldn't even last 2 days there.

A dinner for my wife and 10 year old son of 3 Ramens + 2 gyoza entree's & 2 soft drinks cost us $185AUD. The world is at total war. I have never been a Trump fan, ever. But my impression of it all is he says more ridiculous shit than he actually does & the democrats do a lot of stuff they hope we never find out about. One lie's to your face, while the other lie's behind your back and would let thousands likely die to hide that truth from you. I have never been a fan of Trump, but currently i am not a fan of neither. Trump is a lunatic & I think the democrats are polished turds who lie, lie, lie. & tax, tax, tax & regulate, regulate, regulate.

I think, much like we are seeing over here now - the Right will win.

Trumps young white male supporters have grown considerably. And his recent visits on JRE & Theo Von's, as well as his strong support from Elon Musk will only strengthen those markets, as well as yours, plus others comments that refer to them as just a "few young incels who live in their parents basements". You know who looked like a loser young incel who lived in his parent's basement? Thomas Crooks, the 20 year old who shot Trump in the ear lobe.

I think you completely under-estimate just how disenfranchised young Americans are once you get out of the handful of inner city kids that have the luxury of living out of their parent's wallets Vs the rest of the country that feels completely misheard. As long as the electorate college is in place, which it needs to be to avoid the major cities owning the entire country - Trump will hold the advantage.

This will be Trumps 3rd election. And so many of you have still not learnt a goddamn thing to how he won the first time, and why he most likely will win this time. If the young american voters are protesting for Palenstine, then its going to be quite a interesting watch seeing them vote for the Democrats whose foreign policy is mostly to blame for a lot of the global issues we are currently seeing.

Lots of misinformation here.

No evidence of democrats supporting more wars. They pulled out of the Middle East, supported Ukraine (whereas Trump openly supports Putin and North Korea). There's issues with the Israel-Palestine conflict, but no one has been able to fix that in 50 years. Don't forget that Trump moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Regardless of who is in power, the US will support Israel.

No evidence of "defund the police". In fact, one of Biden's earliest policies was a bill that increased funding to the police in the name of positive reform/training. House Republicans blocked it. Guess that makes them the real police defunders.

Cost of living: inflation has been worldwide and proven to be the result of corporation price gouging to make up for lost profits during covid. The US under Biden has been one of the most effective countries in minimizing inflation mainly due to his infrastructure (Build Back Better) bill. In general, wealth inequality is the result of capitalism and billionaires, a system that Trump fully supports evidenced by his corporation and billionaire tax cut legislation he passed. Secondly, he and one of his main cronies Elon Musk openly say how much they despise unions; unions being one of the only ways to tackle wealth inequality by bringing power back to the average worker. There's obviously something there when the richest corporations/people in the world (Musk and Bezos/Amazon) fight tooth and nail against unions.

The problem in the US is that there's no left wing party. Republicans are far far right and make Bob Katter look sane. They are basically a christo-fascist movement, evidenced by their disgusting attacks on women, non-white people, and anything LGBTQ related. The democrats are centrists with some independents like AOC and Bernie Sanders who are just regular left wing people, and push for healthcare for all, something that is seen as normal in every other first world country but "marxism" (lmao) in the US.

Kamala isn't perfect, but she actually came from a typical working class family, isn't a supporter of Putin and North Korea, and seems to give a shit about women and working class people.

Just fyi, that guy wasn't a democrat. Multiple of his high school peers noted that he was actually a trump supporter. The FBI found that the attempted assassination wasn't due to political reasons, instead he just wanted notoriety and was actively researching potential targets from both parties.

Oh you have a wife? If the abortion laws aren't a dealbreaker for you then I feel sorry for your wife, not sure how they don't even get a mention in that post. One party hates women and that really should be the end of the decision making for those who dont.

Also Trump lies to your face and lies behind your back. I can't believe people actually believe Trump is better for the economy. He's for himself and his rich "friends" (people that hate him but use him). That's it.

This isn't 2016 anymore, you can't play the "oh he's a good business and will be better for the economy by cutting taxing and the government fat". He's been president and we saw him funnel every cent he could to himself and anyone else that would give him something back in return. He's clearly shown he has absolutely no how to run a country and has surrounded himself with the most despicable group of grifters that you've ever seen. Do you honestly trust this group to be able to run an economy?

There’s some strange people who are so passionate about ****ing American politics. That country should be placed on the scrap heap and allowed to self combust on their own. Our countries problems all stem from trying to impersonate that absolute sorry state of a place.

For **** sake, who gives a ****. Plus you MAGA campaigners, worshipping an absolute imbecile criminal. I don’t argue with shit campaigners who idolise campaigners like him.

🤦‍♂️

in saying what i said i hope kamala loses because she was complicit in aiding and defending the genocide of the palestinians and has shown no sign of change, so while there's a good likelihood that trump is worse on that issue, hundreds of thousands have been killed, 85% of palestinians have been internally displaced, almost every home/school/hospital has been destroyed by israel, so there's not exactly much more trump is feasibly able to allow israel to do

but even in the case he's worse, how can you vote for someone supplying almost 70% of the military aid used to take out the mass extermination and ethnic cleansing?

if kamala killed your entire family, would you still vote for her because trump might've done worse? what's worse than your whole family being killed? what's worse than genocide?

voting for kamala just means genocide is permissible which is insane, there needs to be some consequence

maybe once trump wins, liberals will finally realise genocide is bad ! (i don't have faith they will realise that in regards to palestine unfortunately)
WTF. This has been going on since Israel was granted statehood, and before. You've condensed it down into blaming Kamala. All US govt's have been propping up Israel, Trump did, and no US govt has ever done anything to stop Israel doing exactly what they want to do. What have we done other than sell arms to Israel still, nothing, the UN, nothing.

Piss off woke dog. I would rather someone protect democracy than have a neocon Democratic Party wash taxpayer money through Ukraine only to come back in weapon orders.
Protecting Democracy, Trump, that's hilarious. The man is a dictator in waiting, and has said as much. Woke, what a cop out.

i know, it's crazy that biden reversed that decision right? oh damn, he didn't?

harris could say she disagrees with the way biden has handled gaza and call for an arms embargo as part of her campaign instead of parroting the same crap biden has for the past 12 months of no change

she's campaigning on the "successes" of the biden administration, so she's taking accountability for job growth and other stuff during her 4 years as vice president, why is she not responsible for the bad things?

within 3 months israel damaged or destroyed over 70% of houses in gaza, do you truly believe 70% of houses were hamas weapons caches & outposts? https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/some-70-of-gaza-homes-damaged-or-destroyed-wall-street-journal-analysis/

i would love to see every bit of evidence they have for for every single instance of a house/school/hospital being a hamas outpost, but pardon me if i don't take them at their word as they've been proven to lie, just remember their cold blooded killing of american citizen & journalist shireen abu akleh and many other instances

well west bank is internationally recognised as palestinian land, however israel (even prior to oct 7th!) continues to settle the land, so i agree that israel needs to respect international law, and i understand your second part, it's just that it's already the case that america is protecting the hell out of israel but with no recognition of the sovereignty of palestine, so why would america or israel want to change that?
Surely this one is on Israel, who seems to be getting away without condemnation. As soon as the Oct 7 thing happened, what Israel's generals stated but not taken seriously has happened. They want to wipe out Palestine and make it unliveable.
That is straight from the general's mouth. And Israel is not going to stop, and Trump will certainly not stop it, most likely encourage it, and Kamala is pretty much lame to do anything about it especially with an election so close.

I’d consider Trump @ pick 6. Powerful medium forward, with cat like reflexes. Dodges bullets.. his that quick.

Harris is more of a rookie selection at the moment, give her some time to build up the fitness base in the ressies. Then we can see how she handles being the sub, before throwing the captaincy right at her.

Your ignorance of US executive power is breathtaking.

I’ve spent a few minutes putting together some examples of presidential power. It’s an area I’ve devoted years to formal study.

The U.S. President's role as head of the executive branch affords substantial influence over both domestic and foreign policy. Through legislative initiatives, executive orders, and the capacity to mobilise public opinion, presidents have historically shaped the direction of policy in ways that align with their political agendas and respond to national challenges. Some examples such as the ACA, the New Deal, the Marshall Plan, and the War on Terror illustrate the profound impact presidential leadership can have on the nation's policy landscape.

The presidency is the most powerful position on the planet, and the holder of the position wields powers that have profound impacts reaching across the globe.

All that is very much true but still doesn’t seem to negate my point, the President is still elected to be the nominee for the party they represent and leads and campaigns with the policy’s of that party and most of the campaigning isn’t done surrounding policy it’s about trying to gain support for the individual as a person over what they actually represent policy wise

Unless they are running as an independent but for all intensive purposes the US operate in a two party system where the chances of an independent winning are not even worth taking into consideration

As an individual the president definitely has a lot of power but that power isn’t absolute either, if we are looking at the US system most of the Presidents real power is around foreign policy and his role as the commander and chief of the military but if we are just taking about the branches of government the legislative branch probably holds the most power

But as you would clearly know by your posting the whole US system is based around the checks and balances of the 3 branch’s of the federal gov

Ahh the Supreme Court pretty much ruled the president’s power is absolute within the “official acts” nexus.

A trump stacked Supreme Court basically said the president can do what he wants any time he wants as long as there’s no personal gain.

Can drive a truck through that one.
