Morning.

Have been on BigFooty for a long time (initially for school boy footy forums) but have never posted much. I've typically been your typical negative Tigers fan for years, however the eternal optimism on here has definitely changed my attitude on things. Have just renewed my RFC membership for a 2nd consecutive year on a uni student budget, and plan to upgrade it significantly once a real income materialises in the next 12 months (in the legal industry...no wonder I need footy talk to keep me from insanity).

Big hopes for the Tigers this year, despite last weeks showing against Melbourne. I hate Carlton with a white-hot passion and would almost be satisfied if we beat them and them only this season...almost

Hi,

I am deliberate!! and I've been here longer than most Mods have worn long pants.

I am timeless and of the ages.

I saw our first Premiership and I witnessed our last.

I saw Jack Dyer play his first game.

I saw Royce Hart play his last.

I am the old Richmond Logo.

I am the real Richmond.

I am our past.

I am our future.

I take no prisoners.

I am a Tiger.

And if you believe that you'll believe everything that comes out of deliberates mouth ......

Since I jumped head first onto these boards, it's time I introduced myself.
Born in Liverpool, no surprise to anyone there, and came to Melbourne as a 10year old in July 1967.
Settled in Ringwood & Dad worked at English Electric (Now GEC).
Saturday 19/8/1967, been in Australia about a month when a workmate of dad invited us to the footy & it was Richmond v St Kilda at the MCG.
Not sure what my first impressions of the G were but I would have been awestruck I think - 48,209 at this massive arena.
Dad's workmate and his family were all massive Tiger fans but I quite liked the fact St Kilda had red in their jumpers & also were the reigning champions.
Couple of hours later after sitting amongst the Tiger faithful & watching the Tiges win by 32 points, a big margin then, I had become a fanatical Tiger for life
grin.gif

KB & Big Paddy Guinane got 4 each out of 12 goals.
I've seen the great times, the good times, the not so good times & the awful times - and wouldn't swap them with anyone, in fact feel sorry for all those who aren't Tigers! That roar when we hit the ground in the EF - what's it going to be like when that final siren in a winning GF goes:D
It's coming boys & girls!

Hey folks,
Lurked so long thought I'd join and post.
Lifelong Tiges fan, old enough to remember watching the 1980 GF on the black and white TV in Ballarat. Back then at the end of the broadcast they went straight to a replay which dad promptly turned off saying there would be plenty more GFs for me to see.
So that went well.
I'm a dawnsider - rampant optimism and pessimism mystify me - though I went pretty dark around half time of Round 1 2009.
I'm finding the hope and belief of recent years more stressful weirdly - but a big fan of the current regime and Dimma.
Some of you lot are very insightful, some hilarious and others plain nuts - I feel like I belong.:p

Which secondary school did you go to - we may have crossed tracks .......

Greetings y'all,

Only recently started posting here because of SuperCoach... Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself to the section of the forum where the legends hang out.

I know it's been the anthem of many a tiger supporter, but this is the year.

'Carn Tiges!!

hey everyone, I've been floating around for a little while without really getting involved, have seen some great posts, have seen some poor posts, but i keep coming back to see if anyone has the same thoughts as me, as well as gaining info on stuff about the club that i had no idea about. So from now on i would like to be a participant in the forum than just an admirer. see you all soon.

Love that - a bloke who registered two years after him welcomes him to the board !!

Welcome both of you !!

Sorry for the bump guys, but I'd like to personally extend a hand and welcome my cousin tommypickles to the Richmond Board. A few of you (TerraTiger Moreaux and Tigerland55) met him at the BF Board Meetup at the Corner Hotel about a month ago.

I have been pushing for him to join, and, whilst he might not be as one eyed as I am, I am proud to say I have converted him from those horribly arrogant Geelong supporters to the mighty Yellow and Black clan.

Get in here pickles and introduce yourself!

Guessing who you are Tigerland55 would be like picking out the pedo who's sweating furiously at a wiggles concert.

But anyway Hey guys

That first line would have to go down as one of the best first posts in the history of the Bigfooty Richmond Board.
