Training Richmond Pre-season Training 2018

Just reading this thread and thinking "how things have changed."

Now it's genuinely difficult to pick a best 22 -- there are quite a few guys putting their hand up for a spot in the ones and if we get close to the flag in 2018 it's not at all clear that it will be with the same group that won it in 2017.

What a difference from a few years ago when it was easy to point to our first 22 and lament that there were guys running around that we would love to replace but lacked the depth to seriously consider it.

Sometimes with these kids, they don't want to look too happy coz looking like you DGAF looks cool.

Here's our 2009 batch. Kid at the front there looks miserable.

To be fair the amateur photographer clearly has an insanely bright light in front of them and it's more they're squinting to save their retinas than scowling.

If he was any good brissy would of held on to him as an academy pick because they had **** all decent talls when he was available.

Ive seen him play alot live and hes clueless where to go and when to go. Doesnt offer anything. He cost bugger all though.worth a punt.

2017 we ranked 6th for age & 7th for games played. 2018 it's 11th for age & 10th for games played. The Premiership side just got a fair bit younger.

Crazy that we can bring in good youth and not lose anything from the premiership team.

Griffiths at the back also looks miserable. Must have known he would get regular concussions, spend more time out injured than on the field and also miss the flag.
