KB notable absentee , hasnt played a ruddy game yet , steady on 😝

Thank god Cumbo is in the team. There would of been a fire at the Jack Dyer stand at about 4 o'clock on a Saturday morning if he wasn't in. Need to make sure he gets through and also fires round 1
Dont worry, Cumbo going under the radar
Will shit all over blooze 4th best defender

Soldo has no impact around the ground or up forward.

Soldo ahead of Miller as 2nd ruck is a bad decision. We saw that end of last season when Miller was very valuable in that role.
I prefer Miller too, but in saying that Soldo looked very good last week and more mobile than last season.

is it possible we are going to see Ryan or less likely maybe Soldo as the no.2 ruck come round 1?

Not sure why you and others are surprised at Soldo's inclusion? He played 13 games last year and we persisted with him when he was clearly struggling with his body still, even started him in the middle several times when he suited the opposition no.1 ruck better. We may still have persisted with the two-ruck setup if we hadn't lost so much senior run over the latter part of the year and couldn't cover two rucks anymore with the kids we were using.

A lot of our best finals footy was with the two-ruck setup , we've only lost 13 out of 49 games with Soldo in the side and most of those losses were to quality finals opponents.

We were able to play the two-ruck setup years back because we had enough mature run around the ball and on the bench, we're finally back to that same situation now - why wouldn't we use Soldo to help shape our clearance patterns as we have so effectively in the past?

Soldo has no impact around the ground or up forward.

He kicked a couple twice last year in important games and had a couple more than Nank for the year in half the matches at far better accuracy. Nearly as many goals in last year's half a season of games as in his other four seasons - it's a good trendline.

He knows Tom and Jack's leading patterns and how to draw a KPD away from them, crashes packs and hurts defenders, and is a far more effective FWD half ruck than any of our KPF's.

He's no gun FWD, but his impact is quite respectable from limited opportunities and clearly on the improve.

The games not the same as years ago with rule changes. Ball transitioning quicker. Harder to lock ball in the forward line. I wouldn’t be playing soldo and Nank against teams like Collingwood with their attacking style and quick transition from back half. Good luck keeping the ball in the forward 50 with Soldo standing there.
