There is debate. It’s on this thread. You’re just not adding any evidence, just bluster and bluff. As a former detective and analyst I prefer to deal in objective debate, not hot air as seems your preference.

I’m not going to further engage in this until you actually provide an objective counter argument.

I won’t hold my breath. It would be fatal...

Lol 😂😂😂😂

I imagine you’re a former of things, for good reason - you cognitive skills are second class

The only REAL evidence we have on people’s intentions is what they actually do

if you choose to believe a puff piece of woulda coulda shoulda, then be my guest it fits with your entire history

the true is, it burns you up that you can’t land a blow, despite years of trying and failing ♥

Pretty sure Brenton's a real person

He can’t win an argument with fact so he plays the man. Standard keyboard warrior who resorts to insults when he can’t put together a cogent argument. It’s kind of entertaining

Couple of instances showing Tilly's deft touch kicking to advantage of team mates (probably thinking "Ok guys, can you do that for me too please?")...

and this one where his mark attempt doesn't get paid so he takes a snap that hits base of goal post...

So so good.

So so good.
I think what's really unique about Riley is he doesn't seem to have any fear of his disposal like a lot of young 200cm kids. It seems to give him a half a step more time to compose himself and find the best available option, as opposed to just the closest available option. Which TBH makes him look like more of a midfielder then it does a ruck!

There are veteran AFL ruckman who still don't play with that extra half a second. Just look at ROB for example, its amazing how far he's come in such a short time, but I don't think he's ever move that fluidly through his decision making process to his disposal. Its wildly uncommon!

Nothing RT showed on the weekend is any different than what he shown as a jr.
Read all the bios and talk about him before the draft and you will see everything they said about him demonstrated. Strong contested mark? Tick. Good below his knees? Tick. Extremely fast and agile for a guy his size? Tick. Good kick on both sides? Tick.
Can lace someone out with a freak handball from in tight? Tick. Can kick goals? Tick.
Why all the surprise here?
I said if he stays healthy he could be the most damaging and freakish forward in the game.

Leinert is a reasonable quality defender, albeit a bit undersized for the role. Thilthorpe made him look 2nd rate.

Can't go too early (Sellar theory), but he's got all the tools to be a superstar.

Was it Leinert in the third quarter? Cause if so he got beaten in every way a KPD can get beaten. In the air, with the body, on the lead, below the knees, on the loose ball in space... TBH I don't remember Thilthorpe losing a contest in the 3rd, hell I don't remember him even halving one!

We've all had one of those quarters in our life, where you're opponent has your measure in every facet of the game! It won't be one he shows his kids

I think they tried to double team him with Goldsack for a bit too, didn't help

I rate Leinert as a defender as he generally gets the job done and has been unlucky in their set up to not play a lot more..but it looked like B grade V A Grade with Thilthorpe dominating him in their contests.

Hving said that, if we could prise Leinert away from them he could be a good player in our system - he won't have to play on many guys that play like Thilthorpe that often

Surely he has to play from round 1... & play most games this year to fast-track as likely to become our most influential player.

Just rest when needs to be managed.
Play him in a month block, then a week off, then another block.

Ok, after the horror of the last few years we all deserve to watch the third q of the sanfl scratchie posted above. I already feel a bit better.
Considering the relative experience of both sides, it was a very pleasing game.

Soon enough he'll do that at AFL level

To be honest I was hesitant throwing him in too early. But the start of the season is a hell of a lot more forgiving then the middle. Geelong (without Taylor), Sydney (without Aliir), GC, North, Freo, Hawthorn.

After that is gets a fair bit tougher; GWS, Port, WCE, Melb, Rich, Coll, St K. Maybe we should pull the trigger early.

Even better, a bloke I work with told me on Friday that Port would win the SANFL premiership easily.
He is absolutely convinced they will win the AFL (for the next 5 years) and SANFL premierships this year and will do it without any issue at all. Apparently their SANFL side has 15 players that would be walk-up starts at AFL level for any other team.

They are fully drinking the bathwater down that way.

It made the SANFL game so much more enjoyable. Funnily enough I haven't heard from him today. I wonder where he is...

I was for a mid for our 1st. Glad there are people that know more than me at the club. Got some ripper tools this bloke. 9 feet tall, can mark, kick goals, create goals for others and play like a 5 foot 6 inch mid. Early days, but don't he look the goods?
Luckily we appear to have got 2 good mids as well.
