:( I checked at 11 and it wasn't up.

Please Dance with her get up!

I had my selections done by about 10.30 but I got sidetracked at work and forgot to submit the content

Will be buying premium form soon Rizzo, only just made a paypal account. Glad I followed Race 1 + 3 (winners) and not just Race 2 (Value bet - loser). :)

Thanks for the tips today Rizzo. Went 1 unit EW on each race and ended up +6.3 from your tips.

Usually wouldn't go EW on paying less than even but had to work so couldn't put the bets on closer to the race. Will follow you for the next couple of days and look into premium :thumbsu:

hey rizzo just wondering what your strike rate was so far for the spring. for example your percentage of winners and placings...just had a look over your selections today and you hit one winner ($2.00 fav). Just curious as you have a website and a few followers so you must be doing something right! just wondering what your background is in regards to tipping and horse racing...im going to flemington on derby day and have no idea about racing but if i followed your tips today i probably would have lost alot of money! cheers

I find that I use Rizzo' tips as bankers in trifectas and couple them with my selections in quinellas an quaddies etc.. Sure he picks the SP favourite from time to time, but he also looks outside the square (ie. Cox Plate Day: That's Not It & Trader at generous odds).

If we had time, it would be good to develop a strike rate on Herald-Sun & Age tipsters (such as Matty Stewart, Sharkie, Manley etc) as well as Dean Lester.
Would be interesting reading!

Keep up the great work Rizzo!

EDIT: Give you an example of how tough the caper is. Dream Pedlar won the Bendigo Cup. 6 tipsters picked four horses, so 24 selections in all. No one picked Dream Pedlar and it paid less than $10.

The only media tipster that makes a profit is Sharkie and his pretty good. Deane Lester has picked one 2.00 winner out of his last 20 selections or so.

BTW Sharkie picked Dream Pedlar on his website.

Ive never heard of Sharkie?. Tipsters are a joke I honestly think at least 20 of us on the punting board could a far better job than these newspaper tipsters. I highly doubt they even do form. I have a bit more respect for the guys that work for racing papers like m.stewart (is he still around?) but the ones in the herald sun etc are just appauling. Someone needs to tell them that not everything under $8 will run 1-2-3 in EVERY race .

Hey mate,

I have tried to keep a track this month, but I work a pretty time consuming job, so I haven't had a chance to collate my results (very poor form on my behalf) :( When I get some spare time I will get onto it :)

As for my background.... I don't really have one TBH, not in the industry anyway. I'm a journalist who just loves horse racing.

You probably would have later in the day... Although It wasn't a bad start and Okay Oky only got done by about half a head.

Thanks Snipes.. Actually when you get a chance send me a PM! it's been a while!

Agree Sharkie isn't bad.. While Deane Lester is a machine.

I agree. Have always wondered where they get their selections from. Back as an underager with VERY LITTLE interest in the horses, I followed them on major cup days. Got destroyed.
