Only faint chance anyone here gets to go to this game is if you have an home and away game membership. Happily I do.

me too - kept my away reserved seat for years as well and absolutely coming in handy this year! not many away reserved seat holders left apparently and they don't sell them anymore so we are the lucky few that are guaranteed tickets to every game this year. it's good to see those of us that have kept our money in and our seats be rewarded finally.

we always say our membership guarantees us finals and grand final tickets....it'll be a bloody expensive grand final when we get there! cheaper to scalp barracking for Carlton the last 20 years.

insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result

Spot on. I would not risk Harry against Richmond either, I am still annoyed the MC chose to risk him against the Saints.
Richmond have won 3 out of the last 4 flags, so we rightfully go into this game as underdogs.

Even if McKay plays, I give us (at best) 40/100 chance of winning.

Giving that around 95 % of the crowd will be Toothless Tiger ferals, it will take a miracle of 1999 Preliminary Final proportions forums to win.

I do worry that we are not as good as we (or at least the media) thinks we are.

Well I have an away membership (as Well as home) I will be online as soon tickets become available at Midnight Wednesday 17 (which is when they will be available for CFC away members

If I miss out, so be it, just from what I have ascertained that only fans who also have away game memberships will be able to get tickets.

Have to be proven wrong, but that is what I got from the Club's Email.

I posted this link earlier today which was included in the email I received this morning:-

I will give it a try Monday morning being an MCC Member and if I miss out, will try with my Captains Club Reserved Home & Away M/ship next Wednesday.

I really hope we don't play Mckay for the sake of having a tall target inside 50, we won't win this week so if there is any doubt rest him up for collingwood.
"won't" might be a bit strong but I agree with the sentiment, the Pies game is a must win and the the Freo and Suns games could be the most critical of our season - no point risking McKay for a round 1 game we are long odds to win with such important (and arguably more winnable) games imminent.

We are no where near Richmond at the moment.

My hope is their shorter pre-season will have a bigger impact this year given it is so much shorter and we can pinch one. Would have been much more ocnfident with Williams in, McKay at full fitness and Casboult with at least a game under his belt.

Only thing I hope for is that Richmond tend to start seasons very slowly ... (except the first bloody game) :( Maybe we can exploit that this year with some added pace and and a perceived higher fitness base??

Reality is they are the reigning premiers having won 3 of the past 4, haven't beaten them in the last 10 games and have hardly been inside 4 goals in that stretch and have an uncertain line up.

Past performance is not an indicator of future performance but odds are set for a reason.

If we can fix our tendency to start each game very slowly, I'm certainly not conceding defeat. Teague will tighten us up heaps compared to last week. Expecting to see Cripps, Ed and Dow in the guts when game starts.

I'd rather we not risk Harry either.

Use Oscar McDonald if we have to as it's not going to have any bearing one way or another, McKay is clearly not right, and going in with a drastically different setup might make us less predictable. It was our smaller players who did most of the damage against the Saints.

Huge ask to get up, but not use putting all our eggs in one basket - it's a long season.

In what regard?
2 practice games , 2 injuries to the same ankle.

Our season can afford a loss to richmond, collingwood however is a must win game. If we risk Mckay and even Casboult again and are left without a key target for the pies game i'll be a little annoyed.

Happy for them to play if they are fit, don't want any dave warner desperation moves though.

Not sure why we even bothered to play him in Saints game anyway when Teague said he didn't care about winning.. :$

Same I would rather a Harry fit for the 22 remaining games than reinjure his ankle for a third time in three weeks and potentially lose him to a syndo injury for ??? ever long.

Players play with niggles all year round. While it be wonderful to beat both Tigers and Pies, we can still make finals if we lose both games.

I get that supporters are impatient and or have certain expectations of games we can win or lose, but it never plays out that way

We are a real chance next week, no matter who we play
