No idea why we would play Tutt.

He's on the same level as Ellard and we saw his "impact" last week.

Bit harsh on him.

Needs to get more of the ball but i remember he did a few nice things against Adelaide, in particular that chase down tackle in the 4th quarter which saved a goal, which shows the effort is there.

Besides, i think we have to throw out everything we've seen of all the players in the first half of the year while Malthouse was there, pretty much the whole team was shit except a few like Tuohy and Bell.

Lets see how he does under Barker with the new game style. It should suite his run and speed.

He's better the Ellard. Has speed and uses it well just needs to read the play better.

Agreed.

A new coach largely means a clean slate and things can change very quickly not just for the club as a whole, but also for individual players. Even the slightest tweak in game plan can have a huge impact on a player and their value or effectiveness.

Barker has been in charge for just a few weeks now but we've already seen quite a number of significant individual improvements in his very short time at the helm. Armfield has rediscovered his spark and is arguably in career best form. Graham has been freed of the green vest and is beginning to flourish accordingly. Tuohy looks to be playing as well as he has in a few years. Carrazzo has started to win the ball again and may just be causing a re-think by some who had previously put a line through him. Levi is influencing the game more than he was previously. They are just a few examples off the top of my head, I am sure there are others.

Time will tell if Tutt can follow a similar trajectory but I still feel he can be of some value to us going forward. Hasn't had the best start at his new club - the Malthouse game plan was not particularly kind to him - but with the implementation of a new game plan, his run and carry may be of some value.

I would be happy enough to see him come in to the side this evening if we do make a late change. Think he could be an ideal sub candidate.

Don't agree there. He has speed to burn but his disposal is average from what I have seen of him in the Navy Blue thus far.

Tutt looks composed enough in body but let's himself down with execution.
One of those guys that looks as though he should..............but somehow doesn't.

Was a little annoyed at him a couple of weeks back for getting all his disposals on the outside.
Can steer too far away from the contest at times............but let's give him a break for now.
