I am thinking more a 6 - 8 goal loss.

Wouldn't surprise me if the margin does get out to 10 + though.
Depends what our side looks like but if we don’t lose any other players ie.just Phillips we will be competitive especially on a Friday night with everyone watching however if they serve up that shit from the weekend then there’s major problems.

They will kill us in the spread like most teams do and our defenders will get caught out again. Same old same old. Might be time to go back to basics and old fashion man on man footy.

Might be time to set up media/ journalist bingo for Friday and Saturday:
- Why are Carlton playing Friday night?
- Is Bolton the man for the job?
- Should Murphy still be captain?
- Why did SOS get so many GWS rejects?
- Does Carlton deserve a priority pick?
- Why would anyone want to come to Carlton?

To make it a little more challenging you're not allowed to use the three germs Kane Cornes, Jon Ralph and Sam Landsberger. Blues by 4 goals.

Guys its Friday the 13th its gonna be a black friday for carlton, another 50+ point loss...just bring in more 1st year players, whoever aint injured...and whoever we aint tried, its not like we are gonna win...might as well experiment and see what the new players can add....i can feel another big purge end of season...and the players we purge go out and play outstanding games at rival clubs that know how to coach...e.g Gowers, Holman, Robinson, Garlett

Pencil it in boys and girls.
We were never going to beat Lions. Saints are trash.
We have responded well to our big losses this year. Bounced back from North loss to only lose by 10 points to an in form WC. Bounced back from Crows loss to beat *. Bounced back from Dees loss to lose to a strong Cats team by 28 down there. Bounced back from Freo loss to lose to Pies by 20 and give them a bit of a scare. They had won 4 on the trot when they came up against us and are now on 7 on a row, so a form team.
Every time we've had a bad loss, we've come up against a decent team. This time we are bouncing back against a crap team and we're taking home the chocolates.

Right now Bolton and his match committee whoever they are have a few issues to work through regarding who exactly they can get on the park assuming Marchbank and Weitering are out but Simpson is good to go the backlines look like this:

XXX Rowe Thomas
Lamb Jones Simpson

and it looks like SOJ has been played as a back pocket fill in during the Brisbane game with Murphy trying to play Simpsons role....

that is one scratchy defensive formation to say the least

again winning center clearances and contested ball, getting some possessions and making some tackles, with Phillips out (again) with a hamstring issue - all midfield 'stuff' will be left to

Kreuzer
Cripps
Ed
Dow probably back in
SPS
Fisher

and the usual epic fail rotation contributions from

Graham
Wright
Lang

Graham and Lang in particular have been a liability causing turnovers pretty much every time they come into contact with the ball - Rankine's easy palm off of a half hearted but theatrical tackle non-attempt by Lang was just awful and embarassing - liek Smedts this bloke looked like a decent money ball play and has delivered absolutely nothing in all his appearances to date.

in forward lines Bolton has played

Kennedy Charlie XXX
Pickett XXX XXX

seriously the whole forward line structure has been a running joke all year - with now it seems both Casboult AND McKay out of favour...

I am counting at least 3 slots up for grabs and that is with Carlton continuing to play Graham/Lang and Wright who seems to have forgotten how to kick goals from dead in front or make any real contribution on field to speak of - very disappointing and makes me think he is less than 100%.

Bolton has to be looking at bringing 2 of Casboult/McKay or Kerr in - after a rest due to no VFL.

I'm tipping Mullett comes back in on a back pocket, Dow straight back in to midfield, Casboult is back in at FF and SOJ gets played on a HFF and fingers crossed Garrlett is good to go for some added leg speed to help Pickett out who is gaining match fitness.

In best case - Cripp's contract extension is announced during the week - because from a strategic perspective bedding him down is the best 'settler' and announcement the club can make after the Brisbane loss. Harry McKay situation is now smelling pretty rotten - a further refusal to play him given the injury situation and a definite pink line is drawn through his name if not red.

Saint Kilda aren't playing as well as Brisbane, who for anyone interested have percentage on the board suggesting they are equal to Fremantle despite only 2 wins - but they do play Etihad their home ground pretty well and they have a lot more developed run in their midfield. They are coming off a loss themselves - and will be looking to do their usual thing and run over Carlton.

Against all this the side has managed to lift after heavy losses against more fancied opposition -but I am seeing signs that Cripps is no longer prepared to do the work of three players anymore. Hopefully Murphy is fit to play because he was evidencing signs that he was not yet over his foot injury.

SOS needs to find 2-3 genuine midfielders for 2019 - announced during trade period - or the whole rebuild and reset scenario starts to look shaky. I suggest that Dow/SPS/Fisher/Kennedy all take some angry pills and lift - because Cripps isn't going to do it for these blokes all by himself.

THIS
I don't want to see us parking the bus anymore.
I'd rather we play the kids and take the game on and try and score.
Let em play instinctively, if that means we get blown out of the water doing so, then so be it.
I'd rather that than the dribble we dished up with this zone crap on Saturday.
Just my 2c

You’re right .... fingers crossed I would do love to beat this rabble particularly after their behaviour last year

Hats off to him if he can do that with the broken leg he sustained at training last week.
I’m thinking of a Monty python skit here ...
