He did well didn't he?

I keep putting Thornton outside our starting 22 and he keeps telling me to get stuffed.
I can live with that.

Ha !

Yeh he was undeniably good in the first half, kicking goals, marking, defending, confidence is an amazing thing

His goal on quarter time was tops

Loved that tackle by Thornton in the first quarter, put his arms around those two guys, dragged them to the ground in the goal square..the how ya going fellas tackle :thumbsu:

Cannot believe it didn't make Ratt's plays of the day. .. I would have had it ahead of all three he chose except maybe the Yazz->Jeffie->Betts->Ellard play. ..

Does anybody else reckon this was close to Gibbs' best game for the club? Definitely put his head over the ball every chance he had and didn't wait for the opponent to grab the ball before getting it himself. Really impressed.

Nup. He was very good, but not as good as his game last year against Geelong, as one example.

Warnock kicked that goal, I was thinking...if only
I just hoping that he did it for his confidence. He has missed a couple of crucial ones from there, including the one against Geelong. The grin on the big fella's face after he slotted it said it all. :thumbsu:

Am I only one who listened intently last week as the debacle with Melbourne and Dean Bailey played out last week, worried what impact it would have on Melbourne and whether they would come out on fire under a new coach....

..whereas this week, I couldn't give a stuff !! :)
