This! I don't get the bravado of some Pies fans in this thread. The reality is that Richmond have done pretty much everything asked of them so far regardless of the fact that we all know that assessing form on the basis of early season games is folly. By contrast the Pies have not exactly set the world on fire in limping over the line against a clearly underperforming Carlton and being flogged by Hawthorn. Given our list of outs and underdone players I personally can't see why the Tigs wouldn't go in modest favourites. It will likely be a good game but for either side to be claiming any kind of flag contention before about round 6 or 7 is definitely premature.Fair post.
Some of us Tigers fans think we're a chance, mainly due to the Pies missing a few decent players. At full strength, I'm sure most of us sane supporters think the Pies should be odds on favs. But fact is, the Pies are being forced to fill a few holes. But will be expecting them to breath fire this week after the Hawks loss. I just feel if we can withstand that initial onslaught, we might be able to get moving in the second half, and come out on top.
On 2013 form, the sides are pretty evenly matched. Should be a good game, can't wait.
I'm obviously biased, so Tigers by 12 points.
