No Ziebell, No Cunnington no better chance to beat them.

Hopefully Anderson and Zurhaar stay out as well...they are their tough guys who win contested ball. Without them they look weak.

Interesting month ahead with us likely favourites in 3 of them - North, Hawks, Freo, WC. Really hoping we go 3-1 in this stretch and we're still right in the finals hunt.

Fish has to come in - but who does he replace? he's too dangerous to have him not getting a game.

cunners - can't drop him, he adds too much with ball in hand and is finally getting a run at it.
gibbons - best 22 every day now
kennedy - was close to bog last week, average this week - would be stiff to drop him off 1 bad game
newnes - he's actually adding a bit defensively
murphy - this would be my pick, but it won't happen.

danger game for us.

fisher in makes us a much better side

No match committee in the league would drop
Gibbons right now....if they are brave enough they would “rest” Murphy.

Could cunners play half back ? Would it suit him better to be further in the play ?

From what i recall of seeing Cunners at half back he's not very good there. Not a great defender.

I wouldn't mind Kennedy getting another go...after all he was apparently training well/good in scratch matches and played well vs Dogs. It's not easy to just come in and dominate game after game. He might just need some continuity and a chance to 'gel' with others in the senior team. Setterfield certainly got that continuity despite some poor games early on and now he's blossoming.

However also wouldn't be upset if he got dropped for Fisher. Given what we saw of Cunners in the Essendon game, wouldn't mind seeing him at more centre bounces but to do that Kennedy probably needs to be dropped.

Biggest game of the year to date for us this game .

Not because of who we are playing but after some promising performances against good opposition these are the types of games we stink it up .

Must rebound from that heartbreaking loss with a brutal performance against North who have beaten us up for years .

No honourable losses no excuses must win game time to take that next step in development this game will tell a story for us .

Cripps and Murphy rest. JSOS and Fisher in.

Would be brave to rest them both.
Wouldn’t mind seeing us rest murph. Give fish a run in his spot.

Cripps as a fwd/mid unless we struggle to win the footy

Murphy for Fisher
Newnes for JSOS

Doc - Jones - Plow
SPS - Wieters - Simmo
Fisher - Kennedy - Walsh
Gibbo - Gov - Martin
Cas - McKay - Betts
Pitto - Setters - Curnow
Cripps - Simmo - Cunners - JSOS

Newnes may get lucky MK had a poor game

Gibbons is going nowhere as much as we all like fisher and he has cleaner skills he doesn’t have half the work rate of gibbons, Cuningham’s speed can’t be replaced so he stays so I can’t see who fisher replaces as he’s not a good enough runner to play wing.

I still don’t get the calls for O’Brien to come into the side for newnes, O’Brien seems a great athlete but if we are honest he was gifted games in his first 2 seasons and he was shown to be very timid when the ball was in his area, he hasn’t really had any positive reports from his reserve games either whereas the likes of philp, honey and even cottrell lately have had multiple positive reports, for me newnes stays until O’Brien or cottrell demand being selected and at the moment it seems cottrell is the more likely to do that.

I know it's just stats - but Kennedy - 0 tackles, Newnes - 0 tackles ..... would like to see more physicality from those two.

There's going to be lots of conversations across all sides about resting guys with compacted draw. Wouldn't mind seeing 6 on the bench allowing us to cycle more of our fringe guys thru.

It may be unfair to not give kennedy another chance but he really did look out of place out there today. I was really surprised with his poor performance I was hoping he would build on last weeks good performance. maybe it was the slower pace in the wet last week and the speed of the game in today's dry conditions that caught him out. does he stay in our get dropped?

Cuningham needs to keep playing.

since he was drafted he never played more than 5 games in a row I think.

he's afl standard and best 22 and a big part of our future. keep giving him a run at it, he will eventually repay us. i'll be shitty if he's dropped.

give murph a rest for fish. Dunno where to put JSOS, can't squeeze him in - may be the story of his career unfortunately.

one bad game from kennedy - like cuningham should get a few more weeks to see if he can revive his career.

probably right about newnes, he is a big mature body though and comes in handy in the 1v1's.

The one thing I did notice about today’s game is the pressure we were under for most of it. We earnt every possession. They are so tough on the ball carrier. North on the other hand have been very weak on ball this year they don’t run hard enough in defence or attack. If we bring the pressure we have the last couple weeks we won’t lose to anyone else on current firm except maybe Collingwood. Obviously that won’t be the case as injury and being off sometimes is going to happen. I expect to go 8-2 from our last 10 and play finals.
