We Are Everyone's Grand Final.

That should be our motto.

How many teams play their little leggies off when Richmond comes up on the fixture?
Lol I'm going to quote myself here.
North yesty got smashed by Geelong.
Put those Cats players in Richmond jumpers and watch Norf play like it's the last game on Earth.
We have always been a hunted team like the poor wild Tiger in real life, the umps hunt us as well which makes the task of winning games even harder while the media hunt us through their microphones.

Lynch
Grimes
Taranto
Hopper
Prestia
Gibcus
Ross
Short
Balta

I mean it’s literally half our side
What has Hopper done since he's been at TIGER LAND?
one good game out of 15? I wouldn't be calling him best 22. until he proves himself.

Prestia is cooked, another can't be considered as best 22 for this year and beyond.

Grimes is pretty much the same as Prestia.

We have no depth, we really missed the opportunity to play the kids from 2021- 2023, we were playing Stars who were not performing! That was always going to bite us.

Well, I am pretty confident if we had even 4-5 of the players listed fit & healthy, we don't go down to the worst team since Fitzroy by 7 goals

This is my worry. Richmond throughout have era's of dominance then years of floundering and bad decisions. Taranto/Hopper trades look to be the wrong calls and now we're running into Tassie expansion.

When you look at the Eagles they already have Ginby/Reid who are top 10 picks in the middle where I don't see Richmond having any genuine potential A Graders in there right now.
absolutely, TT is not A grade. hopper is not A grade. We are missing real talent at the club.

Well he didn't do a very good job if he did, Yeo killed us.

We need to see if Sonsie has what it takes, hes not a forward. Graham is best as a half forward.

Bit disappointed in McAuliffes game tbh. Not sure his foot was 100%.
Did McAuliffe get played as a mid or as a half forward?

If I were Yze today, I would be on the phone to the Storm across the Road and be asking to set up a tackling session. When that is all set up I would tell the players "Boys, we are going to be the nasty SOBs in the AFL. I want you all to tackle to hurt. We all know the rules but these fine Gentleman from the NRL are going to teach you to effectively execute a punishing tackle."

If we are not going to be the fittest team or the most skilled team then we should be the meanest.

I'm not sure it would've made a big enough difference. We were beaten in setup after qrt time -similar to the saints game.
COACHES missing something?
This is the main reason we couldn't get the ball past centre half back. also, we got smashed in the middle.

Agree 100 per cent. The rush get out the door was full of stress for Dimma, like he knew an ATO Audit was coming.
Dimnma, thanks for playing your role in helping the many others in securing the three flags Dimma, but I really cant stomach anything about you nowadays. Just a hollow human being.
I'm amazed at hour many can't understand someone being burnt out from working the same job for over a decade. **** I feel that after a couple years.

He was completely open and honest about his feeling and yet people still make up their own stories of why he left. Crazy

Mid. Attended nearly 50% of center bounces, but apart from a couple of moments he was largely unnoticeable. I understand he barely trained during the week but we literally had no one else to come in. I suspect we are playing a few sore bodies out of necessity.

Shai being the best player on our list shows how big a problem we have.
If we are relying on a downhill ski to be our best player we are in huge trouble.
22 touches, 7 inside 50s, 5 clearances, 3 tackles, 2.2 v Port Adelaide.

25 touches, 8 inside 50s, 3 clearances, 3 tackles, 2.1 v Sydney.

19 touches, 3 inside 50s, 2 clearances, 4 tackles, 4.1 v Saints.

21 touches, 2 inside 50s, 8 clearances, 1 tackle, 3.1 v Eagles.

I must have forgotten us dominating all these teams and Shai downhill skingg to rack up these stats. How odd.

He's literally been one of the top players in the league and kicked the 4th most goals league wide. No games have been easy so I do wonder how you can be a downhill skier when you're performing at an elite level in 1-5 team 🤔.

At some point you gotta wonder what you have against the guy, because it's not football related 😬

I watched him more closely than usual yesterday, as he was on my opponent's fantasy team. He tends to sit back at contests and wait for his opponent to get the ball before going in for the tackle (had 8 in the first half yesterday).

That sort of defensive role may have been a directive from the coaches, but it doesn't really work when yours mids aren't winning the ball enough.
I'm pretty sure they would have preferred for him to get the ball. He was good in the first Q when we had the flow and controlled the ball, after that it was chasing as you said because they had first hands on it. Dimma's let them get their hands on it and then we harrass hasn't worked for years, Graham was good when we were good, but not a lot of use around the ball when we aren't.

While we are so stretched he perhaps needs to be given a another go with direct instructions to put his head over it, but personally I would rather they go with MacAuliffe and free reign to crack in, maybe MRJ given a crack, or even Mansell who goes as hard as anyone. Let's try and get our hands on the ball or make it difficult for the opposition at least. In fact Mansell might be just hard enough to do it, he might respond to a more senior role.

or at least give them what they eat.

I reckon Reid could be as good (maybe better) than Nick Daicos. Big call I know. We will see in time if I am wrong or if I'm right.
He does one thing that Daicos doesn't: he wins his own ball.

The disappointment was that they had just as many kids as us and ours apart from a couple turned up, but the true disappointment were our senior guys.
They did have the same amount of kids but their distribution was a whole lot better across the ground.

Lets be fair, Dow and McAulife were the only 2 pure mids in the guts yesterday and they have played less than 50 games between them and both had rolled ankles the week before. Put that up against a Kelly and Yeo lead midfield with Reid starting to hit straps with confidence and it was always going to be an uphill battle.

The real disappointment was the lack of mongrel and fight that our key backs showed. Neither of them were in it for the contest and both looked like they left their big boy pants at home.

there midfield had kids also and our backs were under the pump bc of our clearance loss after red time in the first. djspank posted this at the start of the last during game day , but i think he meant 27min mark of the first quarter.

Their midfield had kids too but they also had experienced inside mids in there that protected their kids. Imagine how different a game it would be if we had an uninjured Prestia and a 30 year old Cotchin in there instead of Dow, McAulife and a rotation of Bolton, Baker, Dusty and Graham.

TT would be the only one who would've made a difference. The rest are tractors now. I'm not actually critical on the kids, but i don't think they're that great. It's the senior players who are a worry as they're either too old, too slow, poorly skilled, undisciplined and no longer good enough or a combination of all of these.

I said it a couple of pages back as we messed it all up getting an extra two tractors for 4 early picks and cash and long term deals
100% agree. thank god we got three flags because the way our list is at the moment we are going nowhere.

If we don't stock up on great young talent we are done for a very long time.
Prestia and grimes should retire.
hopper and TT should be D listed with a capital D.
and we should be getting some pace in the midfield who can also use the ball.
