why the **** is deemott arguing against cotch

campaigner would've done that 500 times in his career

campaigner better only be doing this cos he's been paid

He's a bloody campaigner. On all those pre-game shows Dermie was carrying on about wanting Stevie J to go the biff and be right below the line of a report and yet when Cotch does it's a different story.

Roast: that ****ing GWS show tune after their goals. Wtf? Whose home game was it?
The ****ing cheat Nick Maxwell.
That diving flog of a dog, Cheapie J.

Toast: Cotch. Supreme.
Oh Danny Boy. Match winner.
Rance. As always, too good for everyone around him.
Dusty. Ditto.
And on and on. So good. Much love. Many Tiger.

Just finished watching the game. So impressed and genuinely happy for the Tigers fans, I was grinning ear to ear at the final siren.

In a competition that has become so "professionalised" and money driven etc. it was nice to see a club with such long suffering yet dedicated fans get their deserts against a contrived plastic fake club like GWS. I know too well how the AFL take for granted the old heartland clubs and regions and so I see this as a win for the sport quite frankly, even though those at AFL house wouldn't even know what that means any more unless it equals a greater Sydney viewing market share.

All that aside, you boys were impressive. Martin and Cotchin are at their absolute peak and the rest of the team are just playing hard honest footy. Well deserved and enjoy the Grand Final!

what a day richmond win and are into the grand final
man united win 1-0 in a shit game we should of maybe lost
and won 1800 on soccer multi's with 2 still left alive and looking good

what a ****ing day

It's not even about Dusty though.
Richmond just one of those sides that has never done much for me.
Along with Western Bulldogs and Essendon.
Plus rates low on the list of positive fan interactions.
We were losing Dusty.
We were no chance against Geelong.
We were going out in straight sets.
We were no chance against Giants.
We are no chance next week.
Thank you and welcome to 2017.

Well can you blame us
You were hardly a finals performer prior to this year.
Would you be content even if Adelaide wins?
A richmond supporter said that to me today that they were just happy to be in the GF.

I managed to hold back the tears during the game and at the siren. But then I opened up my messages to write a simple "I'm going to see the Tigers in the Grand Final!" text to my wife and the last message she sent me was still on display, which was a photo of our two boys (3y & 6 months) on the floor watching the game on TV together. It took me a good 2-3 minutes to write that message through the tears in my eyes.

Absolutely. That's what I got on to say. Leon Cameron full of class in his presser.

I watched from the lounge room - no ticket. Will go to the VFL tomorrow and Punt Rd next weekend.

Could people who went give us not in attendance some description of the atmosphere at the game? Of course I'll be watching replay after replay, but will not get a sense of the noise. What were the scenes like after the game; with the national anthem; when we ran out, etc.?
The noise when our players came out for warmups 45 mins before the match was louder than probably 7-8 teams would have had at their games this year.

The crowd volume when our players ran out and the song played was absolutely spine tingling for a solid couple of minutes.

The roar at the end of the anthem was huge.

The biggest noise was easily when Lambert kicked the first goal. I actually had to turn the volume up on my radio by about 75% because I just flat out couldn't hear it in my ears.

It was like a party from about the 15-20 minute mark of the third quarter though and there were so many things that made the crowd go nuts. The post-siren renditions of the song were easily the loudest I've ever heard. There were probably also about 70,000 people still in there to watch the players sing the song in the rooms which they broadcast on the big screen.

To sum up my thoughts on the atmosphere, I genuinely don't think there will ever be another AFL crowd like it. It was just the perfect storm of the big club with decades-long suffering fans up against the start-up franchise who couldn't generate their own significant crowd support.

You could see a Collingwood/Essendon v GWS/GCS final that might rival the size of today, but it's the last 35 years of history that really made the atmosphere what it was.

I'll remember tonight for the rest of my life.

Good to see our boys being gracious winners. Tross consoling Lids

That's a great photo. A real highs and lows moment.

Does anyone know the name of the song that was played at the ground after the song? Really annoying me as I can't remember enough lyrics to search it up

Am happy to be in the GF.
Absolutely I am it beats finishing 15th or something. Would love to win it and I think we are a big chance but again we are no chance if we don't make it?
Could we lose? Yeah we could lose but we wouldn't lose it unless we made it.
Pattern???

Congrats tiger fans, thrilled for you all.

Saw scenes from tigers supporting friends of mine that reminded me of our prelim win against GWS last year, very emotional from people who've seen tough times and waited a long time for a Grand Final appearance and overjoyed that it's finally come.

Good luck next week, be great to see you bring it home
