Our centre square Ruck set up is still a debacle. I blame Maric for this situation. Our Ruckman are the problem. They have no consistent structure. They come in from varied useless angles and either give a clear advantage to the opposition Ruckman or we hit it to the advantage of the opposition mids from the angle we have taken. No other club does it like this... It's been an absolute joke for 3 years now.

Today they walked out of the middle even though hit outs were fairly even. Enough said.

Young had a great game. Kept his opponent to 0 possessions over 3 quarters.

He was subbed off for tactical reasons after the Hawks subbed off his opponent DGB.

Wow. Taken me this long to post since the win.
Don’t think I’ve ever hated a player more than Sicily. The last qtr, in particular there was 3
Minutes where he should have given away a free to jack..the umps somehow were blind. He somehow took a mark that hit the ground, and he also won an Oscar for diving..

Any hawks fan that believes they should’ve won is beyond delusional. They should have NEVER been in it. We kept them in it! It was all our mistakes and awful disgusting shots on goal. We had more shots on goal when they were in front and were carried by our mistakes.

We just cleaned up our game in the last qtr and lifted the pressure.

Ross has been good lately! Courthard the super sub. Get Clarke, Cumberland and sonsie into this team NOW. I don’t care how it’s done

Not just this week, they were inaccurate last week, missed some sitters.
They have been ugly, scrappy wins, but in the old days the team would have folded under the pressure.

What has Sicily got on the umpires? In the spate of a minute gets paid a mark after scragging Jack out of a marking contest. In the next passage of play he gets paid a mark even after the ball had clearly hit the ground first. Then the next contest Jack got free paid against after Sicily's blatant dive.

Probably shouldn't have used the words worst but the lowest-ranked players on the ground (apart from the subs) were Miller, picket, Young and DGB.
DGB played only 44% game time. At the ground, Lewis was their main target, the ball hardly went to DGB. Even Bruest was the second main target Hawks players were kicking too.

Jack was our main target and Sicily had 28 disposals.
