So why the reference to a pisstake in my post above?

Radio Hauraki DJ Kevin Black put out his own version of The Bridge, called The Fridge by Kev Blackatini. It too became a top ten hit, primarily due to the airtime it was getting on Auckland radio.

I thought it was insanely witty and clever at the time, but so were fart and poo jokes for what its worth.

Now I realise how crass and racist Kevin Black was, and by implication a lot of his audience including me. The Kyle Sandilands of his time. Sorry, Deane.

This one is in keeping with the Islander theme and was my brothers favourite song, which he requested at his funeral
