How come nobody even mentions him as being unlucky? Had a better year than Papley and Cameron
Why does everyone want to see 3 undeserving small forwards in the team anyway?

Ryan deserved his spot - gun!
I'm a big fan of Papley - he was good in the first half of the season, but struggled as the year wore on
Ditto for Charlie Cameron - best small forward in he comp, but he did nothing in the last 6 or 7 games
Dan Butler - yeah, had a great season, but sorry... he is not an All Australian player. He got under the guard of many teams

Gunston needs to spend more time in the center clearance to be considered for a half forward flank role

Star mids are sexy and can get goals at times.
Defenders are uggos who get no chicks at all.

Thats what i think the AFL logic has been
Bont and Dusty deserve a spot on the bench but let the small fowards have their spots

I feel like Martin got squeezed out last year when he should have been in and they've squeezed him in this year when he should have probably missed.

I feel like they feel that naming star players like Danger, Dusty or Bont on the bench is unbecoming of them and its either on the field or nothing. When a spot on the bench is probably the most relevant position being not quite good enough to crack the starting midfield for the year but still having years that trump most of the crabs running around in the comp.

So when did we get to the point in Bontempelli's career where he is given AA guernseys on repuation and shoe-horned into positions he doesnt actually play?
