Are clearances enough to get Libba in? The other 4 in the top 5 average clearances aren’t being talked about, last week Mcgrath had 12 in a match yet his game wasn’t really rated.
The other four in the top five for clearances aren't dominating them nearly as much as Libba is. He's currently 20 ahead of Greenwood who is 2nd. Oliver and Naitanui play today and need 9 and 7 clearances to equal Greenwood.
Ignoring stats, it's the manner in which he's doing it as well. Oliver is really the only player who's close to him in terms of inside work at the moment.

On The Round So Far they said Libba’s on track for 200 clearances, and if he gets there it’s the second time in history it’s happened (Ratten the other).

Would have him in ahead of Macrae at this stage.

Naughton is probably pushing himself into contention for the CHF spot now

Goals - 6th
Contested Marks - 1st
Marks inside 50 - 3rd
Marks on Lead - 2nd

I agree, he is not there just yet but we are not even half way through the season. If he has a stronger 2nd half
Of the year and leads the Comp in contested marks and finishes top 5 in Coleman, he is a huge chance at CHF.

He's not 6th. He's kind of 5th - but so is Matt Taberner, Jack Riewoldt, Toby Green and Cale Hooker.

He's also raked 15th in goals per game and 12th for score involvements.

Nowhere near it.

Nowhere near it isn’t the correct wording.

Tell me the key forwards ahead of him?

I’d have McKay and Walker ahead of him.

Then there is a bunch of them, Bruce, Taberner, Riewoldt, Darling, Hawkins, B.king. He is with all of them. Will come down to the 2nd half of the season. I’d back him in to have a big 2nd half of the season and overtake Walker. Jeremy Cameron may also come for the late charge but I am confident Aaron will be in the conversation by years end if he can lead competition in contested marks and kick more than 50 goals for the year.

What would the backline look like this year so far

J Weitering
T Stewart
Grimes
May
Lloyd?
Andrews?

Something like that?

Wouldn't have Andrews in, definitely have to have Lever in the team instead. Rich ahead of Lloyd if there has to be an unaccountable rebounding defender. Salem probably ahead of both - might drop Grimes out? It is very tough.

Couple of Lions fans have mentioned Brandon Starcevich who is having a great season as a lockdown defender, but he doesn't get enough of the footy and also doesn't have the WA Media to pump him up like Shephard has had in the past. Maybe an outside chance of being in the squad.

Naughton's inaccuracy for the first part of the season really let him down. He kicked 15 behinds in 5 games of footy between round 2 and 6. Since then, he's kicked 9.1 + that OOF last night.

Most of those shots he was missing were extremely gettable too and he's been nailing those the last 3 weeks. I'll back him to average more goals per game in the second half of the season. Isn't far away from a bag of 6 or 7 and I can easily see him finishing top 5 in the Coleman this year, especially with the amount of Bulldogs entries i50.

Certainly not in the team, but he's definitely building towards it.

Starcevich should definitely make the squad, but agree it’s probably an uphill battle.

May is a much better player than Lever, but Lever having a better year. Has played 8 extremely good games.

Taberner with another 4 goal game, has to make the squad on current form.
Outright 4th in the Coleman. Probably behind McKay, Walker and Bruce for the side though
