Remember guys we are talking about the guys still left .

Whos left? If Conlon is worth the risk may have to go Pre-season draft as rookie draft be gone by our pick and can't see guys like Templeton slipping to far.

Stunned Marsh went to 77 for the Pies, Well worth a punt, if no good, back in the pond and with a 50+ pick losing not much

With rookies its just a lucky dip and chance for prospects to have a final crack. Doesn't work out, back in the lucky dip next year, no loss except if one keeps missing!

Bottom line for me is our list is solid enough now we shouldn't be drafting rookies just for depth and making up the numbers now IMO. We should by trying to pluck a few diamonds at real value. We will miss more often than not but thats okay, the expectations are not that great and its up to the kids with real potential to seize the moment:thumbsu:

GWS have committed their first pick to Lamb and Pies have pick 2 but already took the guys they wanted. Maybe, just maybe we will use the next pick which looks like the first live pick in the PSD.

Is that because FJ mentioned he was surprised at a few guys that didn't get drafted?

What happened too Matt Thomas? Thought he was a lock too be picked in the rookie draft after us not selecting him via free agency?

I'm just guessing. No idea.

It would be nice if we picked up Eli Templeton in the pre season draft, knowing that if we wait until the rookie draft which follows he will most likely be gone by our first pick. Unless i have forgotten how to count we have 37 on our main list so one more senior space assuming we are going with our usual 38 on our main list. Meaning this must be a high possibility, assuming that we would have already listed thomas if we were going to use a senior spot on him. So bring on Templeton smaller version of Dyson Heppell (a better version:p)

Dwayne Wilson (SA – Mid/Fwd)
Height: 178cm, Weight: 75kg, DOB: 17/01/1995

Darcy Cameron (WA – Ruck/KPF)
Height: 203cm, Weight: 98kg, DOB: 18/07/1995

Ben Sokol (WA – Fwd/Mid)
Height: 183cm, Weight: 87kg, DOB: 28/10/1995
Recruited from: South Fremantle

I wanted Wilson with one of our later picks…hope we give him a rookie spot.

Last year we went with experience on the rookie list to create insta-depth. Are we following the same strategy this year or with drafting some mature types will we rookie some kids?
