At the moment, Dogs has pick 10 and Freo pick 15.

That’s only 5 spots.

Dogs and Freo could easier move up or down.

We need to wait until the picks are set via PP, free agent compo, and ladder order.
Absolutely. I wonder if it could look like this

Fremantle Trade - Freo First rounder and Lobb.

WB Trade - WB First Rounder and Second Rounder.

I think the timing of reporters going with Lobb and Jackson news isnt a co-incidence. Dogs or Saints make the most sense from a list and trade perspective. Posted in the Jackson thread but I'd imagine upgrading our 1st to Dogs 1st with another later pick as well depending on how big the upgrade ends up being gets this done.

Dogs would probably rather not involve their first but contracted and unlocking the Jackson trade means I think we'd stipulate that's required.

For a 30 year old though? Just can’t see the Dogs involving a 1st but we’ll see.

For me, it's hard to value, best 22, valued KPFs dont normally leave at this age. These guys are hard to get unless you draft them so what would a club in a premiership window give to get one with 4 good years left?

I think Lobb that given he's contracted, the downgrade of firsts would be non-negotiable from Freo as that would help satisfy Melbourne.

Uncontracted I think Power would say no chance of involving whats probably going to be a top 10 pick (no offense).

Yeah that’s all fair enough. If we were talking about a KPD which is much more of a need for us, I’d have a different view.

Yeah I get he’s contracted, but it’s not like we are talking about a gun player.

We’ll pay over due to contract but would be amazed if it involved a top 10 pick
So lets say your second round pick then. Pick 30-36. If roles were reversed would you rather have Lobb or trade him for that?

Yeah, I think with JUH starting to look better, Bruce coming back and Naughton, I think it's not a perfect fit for you guys so surprised you're reportedly this interested. Saints still make the most sense to me

Rory Lobb is contracted until 2023. I rather hold Lobb to his contract and let him kick 25-30, 35 goals again next season.

Why trade Rory Lobb to a side that's around 9th-12th for a cheap pick?

Then Rory Lobb has a couple of good seasons and cost Freo a finals spot next season?

Not many people outside of Dockers rate Lobb.

I do rate him.

Lobb and Taberner are the only 2 blokes on the list that can play full forward and thrive on being Double teamed and still kick 2-3 goals. Lobb takes contested marks inside 50 too.

That plus taberner is constantly injured. Lobb is only one that stays on the park

Why hold someone to a contract the second time he requests out?

Assuming he does he will go

He is very important to freos important forward structure. Even though he is average.

I rather keep him unless we get a direct replacement.

Lobb is a main reason Freo make finals, if they make it, is partially because of Lobb.

I want Freo to make finals this year and next year. A few older Dockers are out of contract in 2023 as well

Yes, that's how you and a few other supporters may think

But I cannot think of a player requesting twice and not getting their wish .. even if you don't like it

We got a 27 year old Josh Bruce for picks 32 and 51. He was a best 22 key forward. We wont be paying anywhere near a first rounder for a 30 year old Lobb, no matter how important he is to the dockers. This will be the second year in a row he has attempted to cease his contract.

Probably a second rounder looking at things realistically. I know it hurts but it is what it is. He's a good player and has played quite well this year.

Was Bruce Contracted? Whybwould we trade him for a Pick 30-36??? Who do we replace him with. He is so important to fremantles structure and we wont give him away for nothing

I'm not suggesting the first outright, I dont think any Freo poster thinks that would happen, talking about a downgrade from like 9 to 15 or so and chucking in a third (like pick 46 or whatever it is).

I think that's basically the cost of second rounder, just formatted in a way that helps Freo
