Rory Lobb to Fremantle

The 207cm GWS big man is the Dockers’ number one trade target. Lobb formally requested a move to Fremantle on Monday after weighing up offers from both WA clubs. The 25-year-old would command a first-round draft pick, but Fremantle are unlikely to offer selection five. Given his relative durability, Lobb is considered a safer bet than Hogan and comes at a lesser cost. However, the Dockers remain hopeful they can secure both tall targets and rejuvenate their faltering forward line.

You are so desperate for my attention. You are a nobody, a joke. I'll give you a tip, you have to leave your musky bedroom if you want to make friends. Maybe when you do that, your posts might be worth reading.

The Eagles were his preference, but that has obviously changed - which is good.
What a rediculous reaction. Did someone hit a nerve bub?

They are good stats and I think they can work together but the one stat that doesn't show is who they are competing against for goals in thier own forward line.
Lobb is competing against Paton, Green,Cameron and some pretty good midfielders pinging goals from 50 over his head
Tabbs is competing against McCarthy an up and coming Cox and our best forward Walters who is spending most of his time uo near the wing

So are you saying Lobb or Tabs is better? From your post I assume you are leaning towards Tabs. Which as a player (not this Fwd vs Ruck vs fwd/ruck vs ruck/fwd crap) I would agree. Tabs has far more upside if played as a CHF leading up the ground

Reads to me we’ve cooled on Hogan after the medical. But at the right price...

Wasn’t expecting such a big reaction when I posted the stats :D

But do want to point out that, yes, he only have 9 games, but Tab is doing ok before his injury.
He is taking the big grabs we sorely needed up forward, which was a big part of our early success. Yes, this may be his best and not he is not going to be a Pav, Buddy or Riewoldt level kind of player. But he is more than serviceable if he can keep up this level consistently.

Not saying we should not grab Lobb if he comes cheap though.

But to be honest, if we are looking at him to be the be all and end all full forward, he may not outperform Tabs that much. May have to take a punt on Hogan for that. He may look impress in GWS forward line, but so did McCarthy. Just saying.

My preference of our trade outcome is kind of like

1) Hogan + retain Neale
2) Hogan + Lobb
3) Hogan
4) Lobb

Hence, if Hogan is interested, we should do what is necessary to grab Hogan first.
Worse thing will be that we grab Lobb and run out of currency to get Hogan.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

I agree with everything except that getting Lobb may mean we run out of currency for Hogan. If thats the case Rosich and Bell should be fired on the spot. We will have three high end firsts to play with at a minimum...

He looks a bit chicken sh*t sometimes for a bloke his size probably no surprise he seemed to be better when he had mummy to hide behind . Maybe the big shoosh can be his new security blanket

Agree. He does seem to be easily pushed off or fragile given his height. Doesn’t use it to his advantage

With Eagles securing pick 20 for Lycett you’d think Lobbe is more likely to end up there as his replacement

He wants the Eagles.

Not sure. **** the Eagles.
Lycett to the Power. Lobb to the Eagles.

Lobb gets to pick his destination.
Eagles are in the box seat for Lobb.
We aren't getting Hogan and Lobb.

Lobb leaning towards the Eagles. Freo have a lot of work to do.
The mail has been both Kelly and Lobb have their preference as the Eagles.

Not sure all of the Tabs comparisons are necessary. If anyone was going to come out of our “forward line” I would have thought it would be McCarthy.
