Did you read the post? I've stated: The incident was referred to the AFL and they were "comfortable with the decision reached by all parties". Not sure how this translated into my personal moral values. I'm just stating a fact.

I would have thought that after the last decade and a half at the Eagles you would want to stay as far away as possible from conversations regarding off-field incidence.

Is the HUN just fishing for an admission/info by throwing around scandalous figures and comments and waiting for Freo to come out and deny it, and possibly breach the NDA?

I thought the Bomber Thomspon drug peddling saga would take the heat right out of this, but seems like some papers are going even harder on Ross Lyon/Freo. You have to admit it's got that fetid VFL/AFL media whiff of hypocrisy about it all

Ross and the usual deflections and hiding behind policy. May run out of steam unless the post that was put on this thread quoting word for word what he said was true. Then quite rightly it should blow up.

I dont spend much time on this forum but its pretty obvious that they attack the man whenever you say something they dont like.They get away with it then turn a valid point into some derogatory name calling grade A low brow stuff .

If this is true then it is a sad indicement on journalism. If they have more just release it-by continuasly dragging it out they're only prolonging it for the victim. And I don't see how they can keep realising information without breaching the NDA. Doing so could a lot of trouble for the victim-if she was unhappy with what was offered to her why did she agree to sign the thing in the first place?

The first rule of BF when your club has crisis , is always deflect to another club preferably a hated club. It keeps chief happy too.

Moral lessons from an Eagles supporter... clearest example of irony i've come across in quiet some time.

This is the same AFL that tried to warn Essendon about the ASADA investigation then found them not guilty of doping.

Not sure I'd be hanging my hat on them being the moral compass on anything.

The media aren't subject to any NDA, so they can release whatever information they have without concern other than possible libel suits.

Agree with the drip feeding comment. Death by a thousands cuts might be a fun game for a reporter but there are real people who are suffering through this and they deserve better consideration.

As for why the victim signed the NDA, well if the story being told is true (note IF) then there would have been a massive power imbalance in play. New coach, just come off a GF appearance etc a bloke who was basically untouchable vs a junior staff member who probably meant zero the club and members. Not hard to see why that staff member had very little in the way of wherewithal to deal with the situation.

Also the reports that she was unhappy wasn't over the settlement but the claim that the perpetrator was unpunished.

Of course, if the story isn't true then my comments wouldn't apply
