Apologies for bringing you down with all that negativity :drunk:
He got pushed in the back mate, if you're not a Hawthorn supporter fu** off out of the thread I've not seen you post a positive thing

Our midfield is still very much a work in progress it appears.

We so rarely ever get all of our mids firing at once, Mitchell is the only one I would feel comfortable backing in a weekly return.

First quarter thoughts:
  • Mitch Lewis - awesome quarter of footy.
  • Gunston rusty but getting enough of it it won't matter
  • If one of the young kids can step up and provid the polish that Shiels can't we'll be a lot better
  • Reeves has been really good in the ruck. No chemistry with the rovers yet but it'll come.
  • I love Sicily and he's a beast now.
  • Breust would be really handy in this game
  • CJ is a deadset gun

So good to have footy back.

Lynch has been the target twice up forward, his opponent has marked the ball 20m away from him, result 1.1

Typical clarkson game from the hawks. Dominate general play, waste it going forward, and lose comfortably in the ruck.
Wait, clarkson isn't coach any more?

You can't accuse MinerBoy of not being one of us. Chill.

Three positives:
  • Lewis has been dominant
  • CJ looks good
  • Sicily is back

Negatives:
- midfield getting hammered. Worpel (2 touches), Nash (2 touches), Newcombe (5 touches, 2 frees against) are all clearly a step behind. At least Mitchell has been decent.

At the grounds I think its looking about as expected.

To the supporters sitting in front of me:
Momentum is a thing and often means kicking the ball in the direction we want isn't possible lmao

Fine, that's my bad then. I apologise.

I still think Frost got a pretty line ball shove in the back, even though he definitely gave away a free after the fact.

Christ almighty - the Triple M broadcast is basically the "Jason Horne Show, featuring Hawthorn v Norf"

He's been good, but its getting annoying now.

Man another clearance lost.

Have we won any centre clearances yet?

Forward line and defence looking good.
Midfield, especially at the centre bounces, lacking cohesion and run.
Good signs but the midfield needs to do better.
