We can get huge satisfaction from holding teams to a 99 point win rather than a 100 point win. That'll p#ss their supporters off.
Pissing off other teams' supporter bases sounds like fun :p Although I think our continued existence alone pisses off quite a few of them :D

I for one look forward to spending many a night this year on the internet reading these forums after we've been pummeled and reading the ridiculously negative comments therein from the same old boring negative nellys. Go Bombers! Go Development! Go low expectations!

I think the first two matches will tell us more about this coming season that the last two NAB cup games, I can see us being competitive and getting up for a win but the Suns will be wanting to get off too a win or Rocket will feel a bit of heat after their disappointing 2015, I've noticed we have had three slow starts in the NAB Cup so I will want to see us start better, and if the forward-line can click and we cut down on the silly errors from last week then this could be a close match.

I don't think effort was the problem in our final two NAB losses.

Fans really need to get their head around the fact that we're going to see quite a few 100+ point losses this year.

I understand we all want to be positive and everything, but we're going to be noncompetitive most weeks. It's just a fact. We lost 8 of our top 10 players. Any other club would be the same.

Yes and I would expect teams like Geelong and WCE to be among the teams to dish out those hidings, they have had plenty of big wins over us in the last ten years and this year wont be any different, I was more concerned by the match against WCE, the basic skill errors were just ugly, at least against Geeong we were okay at times.

39% think we will win, the Kool-aid still tasting good for many!

Depends on which GCS turn up, if they play the kind of footy they produced at times last season and we play closer to the way we played against the scum then we should be competitive, when the draw first came out I felt this was a win but now, I'm leaning towards he Suns but I image Woosha would have been pretty blunt about last week's effort.

I'm going to lose my shit if I see GC players running free every where with not one Essendon player next to them because the amount of space we gave WC was ridiculous.

Agree to a certain extent. There will be games where we will get run over but we do need a better effort in the defense area.

So you were happier not to get the ball and not butcher it over getting the ball and butchering it?

Fair enough, I know it's not my preference.

What, I don't think that is what I was saying, I am just pointing out that both Geelong and WCE have been dishing out hidings to us for sometime.

We barely got the ball against Geelong which you said was the game where you were happier. I'd prefer we got the ball and had an opportunity to do something with it even though we didn't than not getting much in the first place. I see it as a step in the right direction.

We were differently better at getting the ball against the Eagles, Woosha noted that in his press conference, I was happy that we did get our hands on it more, now for the next step, to use it, many of the errors were unforced & sloppy errors which we will learn from.

Where I was happy with the Geelong game was the intent we showed when we did have the ball, which was at times looking to be positive, although we did go in with a young side.

Injury.

Parish had a tight hammy/calf after the Carlton game IIRC. Can't remember Crowley.
Yeah the injury report before list selection for NAB3 was that they'd both 'pulled up sore' from NAB1, even though they were 'rested' for NAB2. It didn't say what the particular injury was though.
