Thought I had made a mistake yesterday replacing magner with smith but feeling a little better today but would of preferred both - went Cunningham from Sydney as my other option

My hale experiment is the only one I consider a fail. Broughton and Shaw will redeem themselves. I'm on 1947 with hargrave and Dickson in play, as well as Goddard to come.

That's me done for round 1. Waters and Hargrave picked it up in the last quarter to get me 83 and 79 which is what i was wanting from them. Boyd with 116 but little bit disappointed he only picked up the 1 tackle.

I'm gonna blow some early trades, get Mitch Morton (don't ask!) and Lake out and bring in Devon Smith and as for the relacement for Lake... maybe Hanley. Bench Ellis (Collingwood...) and Docherty and start Bugg and Townsend, bench Parker for Magner since he won't likely play and even if he does won't be 100%.

Really concerned with my back line rookies. I have Morris, Ellis, Bugg and Paine. Would love to free up a bit of money to go to the far safer bet in Clarke. Just need 2 who can consistently score their 50-60 with good JS.

1974 with just Goddard to come, shithouse week. May downgrade Winderlich to Motlop, upgrade HMac to Kreuzer and then keep Lake for another week. However, if he struggles to crack 70 next week, bye bye Brian. I really didn't like the role HMac played last night. I knew that is how they'd do it, but I thought his scoring may be a little better, and it isn't like NM struggled to kick a good score.
Anyway, I was out at 15k at round 5 last season and still finished 800 odd, I would just like a nice start for a change!

At 2164 all done I'm not too unhappy. HOWEVER, not happy with Broughton and Lake's scores. I think Lake --> Bower then Broughton --> Carazzo will nett me more points in the long run.
The rookie scores I'm willing to cop as they will be inconsistent. Afte Round 2 I'll be looking to fix up rookies to get the best price rises..... Then I might let it ride for a bit.

Hacks trade after round 1 happy eagle. You and me both know that. We also know these people will have no trades left after the byes and will have a shocking last 10 rounds where the game is won and loss.
Marathon, not a sprint. More than happy for people to trade though. I wont be and i have guys like Dickson, Ellis, Morris, Lake, Broughton, Hale. I look past the face value of there scores and see upside in most of those players. Lake is my biggest concern but why not give him another week.

I did last year, didn't affect my season. Just depends how many deficiencies you have. Lake and HMac performed exactly how I feared they might, but I took the risk anyway as the upside is big. I also kept Winderlich, but said I would trade if rookies were performing, which there are down forward (Motlop). From what I have seen of Redden and Giles, they will be more than handy as 2nd ruck, with Giles definitely keeper potential. Anyway, I still may not trade, but I can see why people are.
