Croz has the ability to become more then best 22 imo but his not going to do that playing emergency game in game out.
I think he can be a match winner unlike other player who are getting a game ahead of him, MDB is solid no arguing that but can he play a major roll in kicking a winning score?

Hoping for a late change.

Well Muz and Croz was injured. Perhaps Croz isn't still 101% and ross doesn't want to risk it? (as was muz)

interesting to see how a team of Pearce x2, De beor, Suban and sheridan go. Hopefully some surprises.

I don't get it. I was so excited with the squad, but I don't understand the final 22. Considering almost everyone's available, our forward line looks short & weak.
our forward line is exactly the same as years gone by, so i'm not worried there. As for crozier he just hasn't shown enough during the nab and Ross even mentioned this after the sydney game.
I hate to disappoint a few people but he's clearly not best 22 yet, maybe this is what he needs to see the light.
I'm glad Ross is playing the players by who has done most of the pre season and is in form.

so croz goes out and all of a sudden our forward line is shit and the roof is caving in. Have some faith in the coach.
Its not just that. Taberner is out, Mzungu sometimes bobs up for a couple from the midfield.
Now we have 3 forwards, a ruck (Clarke) who can't hold a mark in the forward 50 and Mayne who hasn't kicked goals since 2013.
Why not play Duffy? Gees I'd take Langdon or Deluca (sarcasm) anyone that at least has a basic job description of kicking goals instead of defending.
It just sort of hammers home the difference between how we approach games and how Port do.

The forward line is not "shit" its just not what most people view as ideal going forward.
We have up and coming talent but that talent are being denied a chance to shine....
Fremantle will not win a flag with the playing group of 2013/14 so the young guns need to be given a shot when we are still a top team.
Give the kids a chance.

Same shit different year. DeBoer and Suban. Are we planning to bore them to death?

It's genuine no risk stuff.

If we're going to win a flag, it's going to be the improvement from guys like Crozier and Taberner. I can understand Tabs might be underdone, but De Boer ahead of Crozier? Come on.

I do understand the reasoning to take only players who have completed enough of the program to run out 4 quarters but it sticks in the craw that Port are bringing their full strength team over. If some of theirs look underdone and we don't get run over the top in the last then I'll bow to the wisdom of Ross. At this point its just hard to see how we can kick a winning score with that lineup.

Da ****? Our forward line has been our biggest problem for ages now.

Watching the board over the last few weeks, we have seen the wrist slashing because of the injuries mounting up: Dawson, Silvagni, Ballantyne, Mzungu, Taberner, Hill (for a second), Suban, Crozier in the last minute of round 3, and so on.
Then we had all the players putting their hands up in the last week as they got themselves fit and available, and the overwhelming relief presented here.
I reckon the truth is half way between. In Ross's mind, too many players returning after injury is not a good thing. He can risk Ballas, and Suban maybe, but the others need to get their minutes up. Use Peel as a training run for Mzungu, Crozier and Taberner, and get em right for the cheats in Geelong.

Edit: to answer the main gripe of the post. You've seen Mayne's pre season form. He looks like he could be back to 2013 levels. But you'd play Duffy, Langdon or De Luca? Right...
