Thank god someone else has some idea. This is the same 22 that I picked with one very debatable selection, that of Robbins/Faulkner I just think Robbins will get over the line due to his experience.

The only reason why I didn't put Robbins in is because he may be a bit underdone due to his pre season injury. Otherwise your comment on experience is quite valid.

I would give Walsh a chance to show whether he is up to league footy. It is no sense bagging the guy without him ever getting a chance, and by all reports he presented well in the last intra-club.

This would be our first problem. You cant pick a guy on a few kicks in an intra club. Other clubs only pick players who kick the door down first, he has had 2 years at werribee and couldnt get a kick. This is a make or break season. If he gets a few 4 goal hauls early on i am all for him getting a game, but there is no point rewarding mediocrity.

Big guys need good delivery to really show their stuff, Werribee form dosn't always translate into AFL form. My point is that it is OK to throw guys like Griffen and Williams in without them proving themselves but not guys like Walsh? Why do we carry a guy like Bandy in the ones when he is obviously down on form (because if he does hit his straps his is vital to the team). Big forwards are gold I would hate to wright one off (like many have done with Walsh) without them ever getting a chance at AFL level.

I hear that Buckley is in doubt, which is absolutely sensational news for the Doggies. He is usually B.O.G every time against us, so he will definitely be sadly missed by the 'Pies if he isn't cherry ripe to play.

Why is it that Leon Davis always plays well against us? He'll most likely kick four goals and collect twenty possessions against us in his first of the two good games he'll play for the season.
