Probably should had a couple more options but too late.

I think it's goning to be close and i just hope we can hold on because the Dockers are in front of us a bit when it comes to fitness. With Hahn, Aka, Welsh, Williams, Everitt, Lake, Murphy and Cooney either to miss or underdone in terms of a full preseason, we might struggle a little bit.

I predict the same as last year , really close win . Can't afford to let them get the chant going again.

I'm about the same

The player of thier's I would watch carefully is Headland, coming off injury and with a pre-season under his belt plus more freedom in the middle now Peter Bell are Josh Carr no longer there, I think he is prime and when he is good he is very very good plus will enjoy be a primary midfeilder. I hope Griff takes him on in a head to head battle.

But I think we showed last year that while Freo played a fairly good game, we finished 3rd they finished 14th and when we need to score we tend to be able to manufacture something most times. While in the last 10-15 minutes at Subi last year we totally dried them up.

I think it will be a close game. Bulldogs might win, but I'm optimistic at the start of the season yet again and think we'll just get over the line. But it could very easily go either way.

My concern is our starting forward line. Without Welsh (who has already been ruled out) and possibly Murphy we will be without 5-6 goals which will need to made up by Johnno, Minson, Aker, etc.
I think we will need to play Cooney forward and maybe risk playing Grant or Skipper to give us more scoring options.

I can't believe we're at $1.91 to Freo's $1.83! We made the preliminary final last year...

big win by the dogs. welsh and murphy's absence will be covered by goals from Grant, Hill and Johno...

Neither am I.

First game of the year, it being played over there in front of their loud crowd, expected hot day, a few of our players underdone, us starting favourites. There are lots of reasons to be nervous about this game.

I would take a 1 point win now if it was offered.

We aren't favourites.
