And how did an expert in Worsfold fare? Playing A.Selwood for 2 x years too long, gifting games to Embley, not mixing up the midfield, no game day tactic changes.... how did that all go? How about playing Gardiner on pain killers, dropping Lynch at full forward? How about playing Travis Gaspar? How about refusing to have a loose man in defense... all in 2005 GF?Players, Coaches, umpires and even the media all rate Priddis highly but the fans know more apparently!

Re Worsfold: I have found his recent opinions on footy very "olden days" and without a lot of knowledge.... Woosha get off TV before people wonder how you coached a premiership. And how did an expert in Worsfold fare? Anyway I really wanted to talk about Priddis's game on the weekend. Having been gifted some seats on the weekend and not having watched him live for a few years...
I was taken aback by how well he played. Didn't seem to notice his helicopter passes hurt as much. Was everywhere more as a link up player. Played his role very well. It's not until I watched the replay that I noticed his short comings. So did he play well or didn't he?
Massive positive is that he wasn't the sole clearance player. Worsfold and his utter stubbornness made our team predicable in the midfield. Which then raises the point, if Priddis's role isn't that of a clearance machine and is that of a link up player, surely a more agile, better footskilled player would be more valuable? I guess yes. So then who is that player on our list whom replaces Priddis? Sheed in the Future? Right now, Hutchings has him covered. Draft someone established next year?
Hurts me to say how well he played on the weekend as I'm the biggest Priddis basher there is.
The siren scared a few people it is so friggen loud!
And on the go eagles go thing, it was pretty lame. But, on saying that, if you are bit vocal at the game, you get some death stares from people. Like we did tonight. Crowd full of nannas and wowsers
Beat us in all areas. Good luck for rest of the year etc.
Isnt the "SGIO go eagles go" an advertisement? They had it about 10 years ago when I was a member at every half time. Nobody actually chanted with it. You would probably be considered an idiot if you did.

Keyboard hero's in here having a crack at Woosha are a disgrace.
mate he's never lost a game. winning percentage 100%. The lid is off!!!!Should at least wait until Simpson drags us to a premiership in his first season before we have a go at Woosha's coaching ability.
Sound system was its crappy normal self where I sit in 110. Couldn't hear a word Langdon (normally a good thing) was saying when talking to Woosha at half time. Didn't notice the siren being any louder either.
People mentioning Wellinghams trip as only disapointing thing on the day.... thought LeCras turning over Kennedys first chance for set shot at goal after his strong mark was pretty poor. Just really dumb and not needed. Maybe he was just on his angry pills as he gave Goodes a spray when he was on the ground as well.
Final note... didn't even notice Dahlhouse played. I guess you remember some players by their number, or how they move, and in his case his hair.
He was great.... many years ago.Keyboard hero's in here having a crack at Woosha are a disgrace.
I personally would welcome you wholeheartedly into our blockStuff em. Make some noise. I certainly wish I could be there & do it.

Did you watch his interview on 7 tonight? Woosha said and that it was good to see the Eagles use more than just Shannon Hurn out of the backline as they had become too 1 dimensional.Give the guy more respect. We were a very successful side under him, as recently as 2012 so his understanding of the modern game would be fairly up to scratch based on that alone.
He was great.... many years ago.
Because he really had a red hot crack in 2013 didn't he? Vanilla flavoured selections all year, favouring players that were past it.
He had no passion for the team all year, no passion whatsoever. And the players followed his lead and dished up rubbish week in, week out.
Doesn't lessen the impact he has had on the club, but he's not God. He's been Vanilla Average for many years, just like his favourite player, Ploddus.

Are you kidding me. He just realised that. BRO that was your move to make and now your saying it as though your some expert. I love what has done but it ain't bashing if he's a shit media personality.
He doesn't know modern footy.
He still could have encouraged other players to run out of defence. Schofield who was good at this in 2011-12 played on the wing.Last year we didn't necessarily have the personnel to implement this. Schofield was out of form, Waters was injured/out of form, Smith didn't care, and the rest of the bunch were too green or were past it. Plus Hurn himself was out the last 9 games or so. Given our good years in 2011 and 2012 I can forgive our coaches for not spotting this deficiency sooner.
Before Woosha left, he would still have had some impact on our 2013 post-season recruitment. Who did we recruit? Ellis and Yeo, and we upgraded Bennell and moved McGovern to the backline. Already this season we've been way better in this regard, and while Simpson has no doubt helped, I think it would be unfair and probably untrue to state that Woosha only "just realized that".
