Trades Round 11 trades.

I'm sure there'll be something come up during the week, but at this stage:

Scrimshaw>Hinge
Miers>Sheed

Sheed's low scores were all while WC were playing an extra mid after Gaff came back in. Seem to have worked it out now and his scores are up again.

Almost certainly won't be what I end up doing though

Rocky > Whit
Constable > Cogs/Dusty (depending on how bad Cogs' corky is)

Wanted to keep Rocky, but it would mean fielding Lockhart or Bewley...and that is just a recipe for disaster

Good call. They just can't be trusted and should be break glass in case of emergency types - as they were this week!

I've found a way to field Hore, Stack, Miers and even Balta who I'm all confident are 70+ types

I actually just realized I can swap Lockhart and Duurs and switch Clark to the field, giving me the ability to hold Rocky. Very very happy about that. Ranking is blown, so don't want to waste trades when Rocky's Round 12 bye essentially means he only misses 1 week if it's a minor strain

Lockhart > Hinge (for now)
Constable > Whit

172K remaining

********

Going to do a triple downgrade next week, and then amass an 800K war chest to spend over the byes, with a downgrade/double upgrade the remaining two weeks (hopefully) giving me a full team by the time I come out of the byes

Did I miss something with broadbent? Yeah he dropped a big score but at least 50% of the port board think he'll make way for someone this week, most likely burton.
You'd think he would keep his spot as surely port aren't in the position to be dropping players playing decent footy when they have others serving up shit.

My team is royally screwed. Had to trade danger last week to avoid a donut. Still have blokes like Brayshaw spudding it up. Still don’t have Grundy. Have had a rule the last 3 years to never start a player with an interrupted preseason. Looks like that burnt me this year. Silly of me though so deserve it. Will aim to get him in this week despite bye planning. Who do we think is the best rookie of the last few weeks who is looking to hold their spot? Baker or Hinge or Bewely?

Does anyone know how long rocky out for or how bad it looked? Also can I borrow $500k from someone? Or just a good midfielder. Either is fine. I’ll return them at the end of the year. Perhaps broken never to play again. I think if rocky is out for short period, gibbons to baker, and Rozee to some midfielder. One of the good ones.
You can have Brayshaw if you like. He's bottomed out so you should make some $.
You can even keep him for next year 😬

I've simply got to wait till teams are announced, luxury trades are unlikely again...

Inj. Danger, MCrouch, ZWilliams, Rockliff, Laird, Scrimshaw...
Spuds. Brayshaw, Newnes, Papley.
DNPs. Setterfield, Drew.
Duds. McInerney.

Who even is Jack Newnes and why is he in my Fantasy team

Yes who is this Newnes guy that everyone keeps complaining about? I haven’t heard anyone by that name in the commentary for St Kilda games at all. Can only assume you’re all making him up.

Rocky and rooze to milera and whitfield?
Or rocky and rooze to houli and laird?
Have 200k in the bank and I'm a fantasy noob, not sure which option to do :(

Despite not owning Grundy I had actually made a pretty good run of it recently, moving up from 25,000th in round four to around the 5000th mark at the end of last week.

This week it all went pear shaped very, very quickly.

Made a Friday afternoon decision after about 4 pints to change my trades that I had locked in all week in Williams and Scrimshaw to Baker and Yeo, and instead went Duursma and Williams to Whitfield and Bewley. Couldn't afford Whitfield by getting rid of Scrimshaw but 4 pint me thought that what can go wrong with fielding Scrimshaw for a week and then swinging Whitfield into defence next week.

Next minute Duursma pumps out 99 which I very well knew he was capable of and Scrimshaw gets injured.

Added to that Rockliff gets injured meaning there is very little chance of me being able to swing Whitfield to defence next week which compounds the Scrimshaw injury/Duursma trade out.

Every man and his dog had Grundy as captain and as I don't own him I went for a risky choice in Macrae. God knows what I was thinking but while most were celebrating 300pts I was looking at about 150. All my own fault as 4 pint me was not used to seeing Whitfield in my team so didn't even think of putting him Captain.

My best rookie picks in Miers and Rozee combined for about 100pts, Oliver copped the obvious tag etc etc.

Blew out from 5,000th to 10,000th in one week due to poor decision making which has undone about 5 weeks of good decision making.

I am seriously considering holding Rockliff this week unless a definitive timeline of injury comes out obviously, and instead doing a double downgrade.

Scrimshaw to Hinge
Hayes to Baker

Works for my bye structure and gets rid of two rookies in Hayes and Scrimshaw who may be out during the byes.

So, after trades this week Hore + miers for Bewley and Whitfield.. i'm down to four rookies on field, which feels like progress. However, those rookies are shoddy at best and i've got so many holes in my lineup still with Sheppard, Daniel, Smith, Brayshaw, Goldstein, Worpel and Newnes. I just keep telling myself, wait till the byes and you can clear these boys up.

Here's the side going into Round 11. Not sure what I'll do with Rocky out, pray for a miracle but I feel these trades improve my side the most and Whitfield is a must have this week against the Suns.

Pray for me.

I think some of us probably forget head coaches don't look at a players fantasy scoring. But yep pick Matt Broadbent, gun

Would I be stupid to be looking at Petru to Balta? Would cost me 4k but Balta has a BE of 10 and seems to be in good form. I'm really struggling for forward replacements.

I suppose if he doesn't get named, people can just go Perryman instead.
