Priddis may have his limitations, but at least he gives it his all. A few of his teammates may wish to take a leaf out of his book. I can take a loss if I think as a team they have all put in and only lost due to being beaten by a better side on the day. But I just get the impression that this year we seem to have too many players just coasting.

I might have to start listening to the podcast again, I think I recall Lecca missing one either last week or the week before directly infront. I don't blame Shuey though, I love Lecca but his out put this year has been pretty bad besides a few games here and there. But at the same time he's not the only one. And they can't drop him because theirs no one in the WAFL atm that can replace him thanks to the steller job the recruiters have done in addressing our lack of dangerous small / medium forwards. And tbh there really isn't any players I'd feel comfortable with coming into the side and replacing best 22 players like Lecca. Colledge, Lucas, Tunbridge, Karpany, wouldn't add any thing to the team nor would I expect them to have any influence on the game as we've all seen in them in the WAFL, so if the guys, like you believe are frustrated with the coaches for not making the changes, then they need to direct that frustration elsewhere. Because our depth really isn't that impressive. Ellis, McGinnity, Lucas, College, Bennell, McInnis, Jetta, Brown, Giles & Tunbridge, they've all played at the top level and tbh there's only 3 or 4 i would feel comfortable with replacing a best 22 player which is pretty bad. I only named those guys above because they're the ones you'd expect to have an impact at AFL level, if not at least play their role, which I don't believe many would be successful in doing.

But back to the original subject, They don't look to be playing for each other this year that's for sure, it was noticeable from round 2 IMO. They also seem very fragile, mentally. Time to get up to speed with Sydney and employ a psychologist (if that would help, of coarse)
The question was asked by the media at the beginning of the year as to whether the Eagles would have a GF hangover taking into account how badly they lost. Just feel that a lot of the confidence (and effort or lack thereof) seems to be missing, so maybe it is a hangover of sorts.
